I wanted an electronic cable release for my Pentax K20D camera. Manufacturers recommended price was £49. Cheapest "Official" site was £43.
Digital Media Store price was £7.99!!! Ordered online Sunday evening, Item was despatched Monday morning and was delivered 1st class post Tuesday morning. The item works a treat. You can't beat that for service.

When you want to send an item back they make you email them about 3 times to clarify you want to send the item back! Total bureaucracy! When you do get accepted and send your item back they don't give you the refund for 30 days! They keep a good cash flow whilst you're left out of pocket for 30 days!

Excellent service at Digital Media Store. Easy to use web site. Ordered a battery charger and battery for a Panasonic camera on Monday morning, delivered Tuesday morning, less than 24 hours. Ordering online can be fraught with problems, but not from this store.

For my mother's birthday (on New year's eve, a very awkward time to have it if you ask me!) this year I decided to buy her a digital photo frame as she is beginning to get the hang of modern technology quite well and also really enjoys her photos, particularly now that she has twin three year old grandsons as well as a twenty year old grandson who often sends her pictures via email. After having a good look round and finding that most places had sold out, so she had to wait a few days for her present
Having used Amazon a lot with no problems, this was my first port of call. A quick search brought up plenty of options and along with standard digital photo frames I found a cute little key ring that holds up to 190 images... enough for any doting grandma! This was not available direct from Amazon, rather one of their marketplace sellers, digitalmediastore, but since I have bought second-hand books and new DVDs from assorted sellers I though I'd take a chance. Digitalmediastore have their own website as well as a store on Amazon and sell all kinds of things electronic, such memory cards, digital photo frames, batteries, chargers... well, have a look and see for yourself as they have such a wide range it would be impossible to list it all here
Purchasing via Amazon was done in the usual way, I just clicked to buy, made sure it would be delivered to my mother's address and paid using a combination of my debit card and a voucher I had won in a prize draw. The post and packing was £4.50, not cheap, but not excessive and as I had a £5.00 voucher this didn't bother me. P&P on the website is not listed, but can be calculate by 'pretending' to buy an item and will be different for each item or combination of items. As with all reputable online stores digitalmediastore take a variety of credit and debit cards, (including Electron which some companies do not accept) via a secure transaction service, I could see no evidence of being able to pay via Paypal
As this present was not coming direct from Amazon I contacted the seller to request they did not include an invoice in the package. The following day I received a very pleasant email saying that they would ensure no invoice was included but that as I had ordered via Amazon normally an invoice would be included as they only had the delivery address and not my account address, so it is a good thing I did email them. They also informed me that as they receive no indication that the buyer and recipient are not the same person and the lack of indication on the paperwork that it was ordered by another party means some people return the items as unsolicited goods
I received an email confirming my order with a link to the digitalmediastore website so I could check the progress of my order. Their main website is simple to use, to check progress of an order I had to create user account so that I could log-in, which was a straightforward process and means that in future I can order direct from them without going through Amazon. The front page has a selection of their current deals and the search feature works well, although I have been unable to find the key ring, so I assume certain items are only available via their Amazon marketplace
I ordered the key ring on Tuesday and it arrived safe and sound on the Thursday - can't fault that for service!

I ordered some batteries from Digital Media Store that were unobtainable in High Street stores. They arrived the next day in less than 24 hours. I heartily recommend them. This is the best service I have ever had online. Brilliant!

There's no 'phone contact with this web-only company.
But their service was flawless. We had wasted time and money
with other rubbish companies and products.
Please keep it up!

Two of five items not in stock at Digital Media Store - email notification received within 4 hours of order being placed. Substitutes requested by email, again 1 out of stock - same prompt response, suggesting 2 alternatives. Once finalised, the full order dispatched same day and received the following day.

It's a shame this anonymous customer did not check their facts before writing the review.

Firstly unlike many 'UK' websites, English is our first language and we can read and understand when a customer wants to return something to us however we are obliged to request acknowledgement and acceptance of our terms of return (for non-faulty items only). If someone does not confirm acceptance then we will naturally send the request again.

Secondly the suggestion that we do not issue a refund for 30 days is categorically and wholly untrue. What this customer is referring to is the fact that we quote our LEGAL obligation that for any item returned under Distance Selling Regulations we must issue the refund within 30 days. We state "A refund for the returned goods will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of cancellation". This does not say 'refunds aren't given for thirty days' and we NEVER withhold a refund until the 30 days is up; we aim to clear any returns fully (i.e. issue the refund) within a week at most of a return being received.

The refund for this customer would have been no different and we can guarantee, even without knowing who they are, that the refund was processed promptly and in much less than the alleged 30 days.

Clearly we're sure anyone would agree that to place an order with a website for which they rate Quality of website and Value for money as zero is somewhat strange and this person seems to be trying to be critical for the sake of being critical.

We trust the other reviews will enable potential customers to make a balanced judgement regarding the accuracy of this review
