My recent dining experience at Danube was nothing short of a culinary symphony, where the ambiance, service, and impeccably crafted dishes converged to create an evening of sheer gastronomic delight.

Enjoyed a superb lunchtime meal. The owner was very helpful and friendly and no mass produced food here! We had slow cooked pork as part of the lunchtime set menu. Everything was of the highest standard and was served reasonably quickly. We will definitely return.

We went on a lunch/aftenoon tea Groupon purchase £38 value, and were very dissappointed. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress. The decor was good but lacking a little in character. The dissapointment for us was the quality of the food considering the £38 value lunch/afternoon tea. The chips we think were frozen and undercooked. The breads for the small sandwiches were of average quality as were the fillings. The scones were the best of the cakes but squirty cream instead of clotted cream or double cream! The food was supposed to be locally sourced but we felt it was more of a 'supermarket' quality! We thought we would try this new cafe as it looked reasonable on their website and have tried several other cafes/restaurants in the town. I'm afraid we will not be going again and would not recommend to anyone based on our experience today.

We visited Danube recently and we were really bowled over by the quality of food, beer and service. It's obvious that a great deal of thought and detail has been put into this restuarant. The atomsphere is really cosy and warm and this is probably due to the fanastic service on offer. A nice concept as well offering food and drink which are inspired by the Danube river. The beer menu is fantastic offering a range of German beers and some nice wines, the food is really great. We took our two young children and they were welcomed with open arms, exactly what you want. In short a really welcome addition in Newark, we will be visiting again soon.
