Total Disappointment

Went today with my son, a first time buyer to the Wesley chase sire in Preston. Email stated grand opening/viewing of new development. Hot there only to be told systems were down so couldn't give us any info. Stated no brochures etc as all online now. The sales lady told us the wrong price (£193000) and my son had to point out the correct price (£186.000)from the Barrats website. When we asked what the price includes was basically told you are buying a shell with basic fittings. The nicer kitchens/work tops/tiles/white goods all extra and even more if you want them integrated. When I asked why you don't get any extras/deals for first time buyers, we were quite abruptly told because of the low price!!!! Who is she kidding!!!! Having bought a Barrats house ourselves 6 years ago I can only say the service and value for money has vastly deteriorated. All the woman was interested in was your £500 deposit, that you have to pay before they will discuss the 'extras' you want. Hiwever, if you then decide the extras are too much you loose £200 of your deposit!!!! I laughed at this point, who in their right mind would do this?. Total shambles, lack of info, rubbish service and no value for money for first time buyers like my son. Don't think he will be bothering!!!!
