If you are considering buying a new build abbey new homes property, I can’t stress enough I would definitely think about re-considering no matter how good it may seem.
I moved into my property mid August and by late August I had a leak (from a poorly fitted bath waste). It’s now October and the damage caused by this leak hasn’t been sorted despite repeatedly chasing. Calling their customer care (when you eventually manage to get through) you simply are just fobbed off by a team of rude ‘customer care’ assistants. I’ve had handfulls of emails that haven’t been responded to also.
Realistically there will always be problems when buying a new build property, just because of the rate they throw them up. but it’s the way a company deals with these problems that makes the difference. And abbey new homes doesn’t just give poor customer service, they just outright refuse to deal with problems.
