I currently own a 1993 US Model with 74,000 miles. As a former MSF Rider Coach, I have the luxury of ride testing many types of bikes. My first experience was when I was in Spain. I purchased a pre-loved 1991 European model with 90,000 kms and enjoyed her very much. Runs exceptionally well, the only thing I did was oil and filter changes for three years and the usual wear and tear maintenance. I replaced the brake pads, tires and unfortunately, I had to let her go. I cannot take her back to US. I loved her so much that when I returned to US, I started to search one. Luckily, I found a 1993 with Linked Braking System in great condition. To this date, still never let me down. She is here with me in Japan now and will take her back when I return. I still have done no corrective maintenance. So far, just oil and filter/fluid changes, updated ceramic brake pads, new Bridgestone tires, tinted windshield and resurfaced the seat covering. I intend to keep her as long as I can still ride. One of the most comfortable ride positions, for my size, comfort, stability and Honda's legendary quality and reliability. I would strongly recommend it to anyone. Not a beginners bike, but once you are confident enough and ready to move up, I strongly suggest that if you are fortunate enough to find one in good condition..... Might be a serious consideration. I expect the owners to keep them and there's a few our there that keeps their value, if they are well kept. Keep riding safe and dress to crash.
