“AVOID”

This company is part of CAROL NASH and is to be avoided. The service is awful and they will extract as much money from you if you need any changes to your policy or wish to cancel. The only thing I liked was leaving them !!! They're horrible.

“Charged me £50! to cancel a policy with 5 months...”

written by ClaudiaO'Rourke462 on 31/10/2018

I sold my bike, I wanted to cancel my policy 7 months in to it. I was told I had £45 refund on it but because of the £50 cancellation charge I would owe them a further £5! Its outrageous, I've launched a formal complaint procedure.

Price seems good! Yes it is good bevause the will get money out of you or other custoners should you need to change anything! I sold my motorcycle and they couldnt cover the new one so within 21 days of policy inception they wanted £75 cancelation fee! On top of the £41 deposit i initially paid! £116 for 21 days cover when the policy was only £140 ish! Not only this but refused to cancel over the phone or by email but had to be hand written!

“2nd year? We will quote on your old bike”

written by Kymaniz102 on 02/09/2017

So I joined them this time last year I started on a 50cc moped. Now, I am on my third bike, a yzf 125. Long story short I left my job as they said it would save me 1800, but only on the ped!(which I was not told). So now im 17, unemployed and hundreds worse off. Avoid at all costs! This doesn't mention the 40+ minutes of hold, rude interruptions and on the final day of the saga one of them not calling me back because of the bad news to try and avoid

“Rip off merchants”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 23/02/2017

Filled in form on price comparison website, checked details were correct and they were, saw they offered the cheapest price so accepted and they took my money and asked for certain documents which I provided and they then issued their certificate and other documents. A few days after they asked me to get in touch and demanded another £166 saying my no claims was inaccurate, I ticked the correct box on the comparison site but they said it was wrong and if I didn't pay up it would be cancelled so I had to pay as I needed the insurance now 2 months later I have been sent yet another set of documents, completely mystified, they are shambolic and robdogs . they will never get any business from me again, I advise you to steer well clear of these charlatons.

“Awfull rip off insurance ”

written by Maximus366 on 21/01/2017

Never answer phone, don't call you or email you first to tell you about payments etc... So when the letters come from somewhere which is usually about 100 miles away he payment has risen because of the days it takes. DONT USE THEM

“Don't be fooled by their price! ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Deanobanks93 on 22/12/2016

I took out a policy with entire cover over the phone, the price was good and the service was as you'd expect. All documents are sent via email and as usual you get pages of jargon and boring text. But beware you should have a read of it if you can! I sent the documents they required several times because they kept sending me emails requesting the same information which meant I had to call up and sort out what the problem was. A few weeks down the line I receive a call from them saying that I was required to pay an addition £130 or so because they wouldn't except my no claims bonus. After shelling out my money to then it was hassle free until I sold the bike. I called them up to inform them and they said they needed it in writing with a signature on it, this seems very old fashioned to me but I did it anyway. There was a cancellation fee of £60 which I knew about so was happy for that to be deducted from whatever refund I was due. I had 3.5 months left on the policy but because I had it longer than 8 months I wasn't due any refund at all and now have to shell out a further £60 to them! I should have just let the policy run to its end date! I will certainly never be using this company again and I advice you to carefully read all the small print if you still decide to take out a policy with them.

“DO NOT USE”

written by Dottie18 on 28/11/2016

My son took out motorbike insurance with them, then after passing his driving test we sold the bike and cancelled his insurance, we were then asked to pay a short fall, when I rang to ask what it was about, they said the insurance refund was not enough to cover their cancellation fee of £60, my advice to everyone is read the small print and don't get caught out, I would have just left the policy to run out otherwise, no advice was given to my son on this. Just beware.

Took the fully comp insurance on the 23rd via web to be valid from the same date. Payment has been taken instantly but... out of curiousity day after I checked MID web to check if the insurance is active and guess what... seems it's not... Gave them a call in the morning to say that I need it to be active ASAP - they said they will try to process it... It's unbelievable that this hasn't been actioned yet. Luckily I have not been riding yesterday... but tomorrow I have to go to work... If I will get a fine I will have to forward it to the insurance company as 1st time in my life I am experiencing such a problems...

“Too much messing about”

written by 217Hamilton on 10/09/2016

Got insurance for my 17 ur old daughter, everything was fine until they wanted a copy of the driving license and cbt. It took 17 emails to finally get a reply of recept. The amount quoted was lower than the amount there credit company wanted. Rang them and they where supposed to sort out the payments but they stayed the same price even though they quoted cheaper. They cancelled the insurance even when payments had been made and upto date. You wonder why there so cheap this is why because they mess you around like mad

“Don't use fullstop”

★☆☆☆☆

written by LeslySchmitt207 on 09/09/2016

I took out a policy as a student (So obviously poor) When i changed address due to finacial circumstances which where explained to them they didn't care they wanted there £30 for changing my details, I highlighted that i can pay this at the end of the month but they turned around and said they need the money straight away and would cancel my policy if i don't pay it. Leading on from this i completed my bike license and went from my 125 super sports bike up to a 500cc middle weight commuter bike to this they turned around and said you'd need to cancel your policy and take out a new one, so going through the process it was highlighted i was owed around £55 from extra days insurance i had payed for through installments, and then they wanted 60 for canceling if i didn't go with them again, I can understand my premiums changing if i change to a bigger bike but refusing to carry on inuring me and then charge me for leaving (When your the ones that told me to) In a summery: They are an insurance company that want money off you don't care about cercumstances and don't actually want the customer.

“Avoid!!! ”

written by Stephany144 on 18/08/2016

Took out a new policy with these guys when my old one came up for renewal, about 2 weeks later whilst I was on holiday they demanded an additional premium for a claim I have never made on an old policy or they'd cancel my insurance (other insurance companies had never done this) despite explaining this and proving I didn't make the claim they said the charge still stood as well as a ridiculous admin fee so as I was on holiday and couldn't do anything else I paid the fees. A few months later I sold my bike and tried to cancel the policy, first person I spoke to said to email them telling them I want to cancel, few days later I get an email back saying I need to put it in writing, I do this and include a complaint about the service, 2 weeks later I get an email notifying me the insurance has been cancelled and outlining the charges for doing so (no mention of my complaint) so £130 later and I'm finally free! Will be buying another bike in the future but will steer well clear of these rip off merchants.

Your complaint should be with your previous insurer that has put a claim on the claims database. If there was no claim then you should have gone back to your insurer at the time and complained.
Claims are not just added to your policy. Some incident happened which led to you contacting your insurer in the past. Whetever it was your fault or non fault or even if no claim was made, the fact is there was an incident which happened which if an insurance company is made aware of it then becomes a material fact and is subsequently added to the dataase.
Its then your responsibilty to make sure all future insurers are aware of this as every one of them will ask you for any claims or incidents regardless of blame and even if no claim was made to be disclosed to them. They have done the right thing by checking the database to ensure that your history is upto date so as not to invalidate any future claims. If this increases your risk then obviously you will have to pay more. Not entire covers fault if you dont disclose relevent info when taking out a policy

“Absolute shambles! Avoid at all costs!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by DouglasRoth on 05/05/2016

It was easy to get this cover, and they were the cheapest when I was insuring my bike, this was all fine and I got everything through email the same day. When I sold the bike on, I wanted to cancel my insurance. Originally, I spoke over the phone with them about it where I decided not to cancel as I was looking for another bike. They told me then that if I wanted to cancel my insurance all I had to do was to notify them via email that I wanted to cancel. When I finally decided to cancel, I emailed them through for them to then tell me that I would need to send through a signed letter. I was out of the country when they finally replied (4 days later) and only got back a week later. They now claim that because I only sent the signed letter on a different date, I am not due the amount I am owed, even though they were notified earlier and failed to acknowledge that they even told me to just email through, pretty much calling me a liar on the telephone! I will never use this company again. Avoid at all costs.

I have just taken an insurance policy for my 16 year old sons first motorbike. This is the second policy I have with Entire Cover, the first policy was for my other son last year for his motorbike. on both occasions the experience was painless, helpful and easy to do. i found them to be extremely competitive and informative. would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you very much for your service.

“AVOID! Hidden costs over 50% of policy”

★☆☆☆☆

written by seanls on 14/03/2016

After taking out the policy I was sent additional (hidden) fees of over 50% of the original (and paid for) quote! Even when making normal correspondence with them the level of customer service is shocking. Extremely rude and at times threatful staff. Also when briefing the policy it is not as comprehensive as it may seem eg; when you successfully claim your policy is automatically cancelled with no refund. This is stated by them on your policy! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
