“Heist great, Dealership rubbish”

★★★★☆

written by Franny163 on 25/06/2017

The bike is great, and loads of fun. There are loads of accessories you can buy, like air cushioned seat, upgrade jets and evap removal and loads more. Sadly they need to come from America (Cleveland speedshop) as the parts, back up and service here in the UK is rubbish. I'm still awaiting an air filter ordered a year ago, other bits take months. Much quicker and better to get from USA. I've done loads of customisations to mine which I've had for a year now, really turns heads and is the nearest thing you can buy to the old British bikes in my day. Not suitable for anyone that can't do the mechanics, cos the back up virtually non existant.

I asked in the UK for the air filter and they sent me the wrong one as its a right angled one with a small pipe coming from it, they said the one without the pipe is ok but it cant be, can it?

“Worst Bike Ever.”

★★☆☆☆

written by Numnuts16 on 31/01/2015

The Sinnis Heist by Cleveland Cycle Works. Have owned this bike for over four months and have travelled well over 2000km and have had countless issues. The bike has many design flaws that really let it down, starting with the air filter, cheap Chinese mesh with no pigment filter resulting in water, dust and grit getting into the carb and engine, this can be fixed with a £6 pit bike air filter with a pigment filter. Issues with the routing of the rear brake lights and indicators wiring, routed up under the rear fender after about 200 miles the rear wheel would tear away at the cable killing the lights. The bike jumps out of second gear into neutral, speed drop in 5th gear, clutch does not always engage, battery exploded after only a month and the petrol cap has a breather hole in an inconvenient location that results in the engine starving due to a vacuumed effect on the fuel tank. The bike also struggled to get to 60mph and stay there, shifting into 5th would cause the bike to drop in speed to about 40mph and staying in 4th put a strain on the engine. And to finish off the negatives I had an incident where a bolt to one of the rear fender supports fell out causing the fender to snag the wheel and become lodged bringing me to a sudden stop from about 40mph. On a positive note the bike was enjoyable to ride when running correctly, it looks great and handles very well, the seating position is very comfortable although the seat was a little on the small side. The bike did earn some street cred as it turned a few heads including some Harley riders that where impressed with its styling and overall looks. If you are looking at buying one I would strongly advise you to find a different make. Many people have stated that they have had no issues at all but considering the shop I purchased the bike from has had the same issues with every Heist they have sold and another dealer has confirmed too that the batch they have sold had issues I would say that either Sinnis wrote those positive reviews themselves or the reviewer was paid to write a positive review, either way this bike is not safe and not fit to be on the road, there is no possible way that with these bad/cheap design flaws that someone has gone issue free during ownership of a Heist. STAY AWAY FROM THE HEIST.

“This bike is amazing”

I have owned one of these bikes for 4 months now and done over 2k miles. I can honestly say its fantastic. Everyone looks at it, and I have had zero issues with it. Great fun for the suimmer, and for someone who wants a run around with fuel economy on a cbt, rather than a big fat harley fuel guzzler. It sounds really good for a 125cc too (and they do a 250cc) Every where I park people ask me about it, and Im only to happy to talk all day about how cool it is. Sinnis is an excellent brand, IMHO the best Chinese Importer - and these are no exception. I got 2 year warranty with it, and Im over the moon. Buy one if you like custom bikes!! Even though its a bobber its not uncomfortable either Well sone Sinnis Motorcycles I had a long chat with one of the guys at Sinnis who does the test riding and I think he works in sales too - fantastic guy, and really put my mind at ease regarding purchasing it. I want another one now for my wife - and spray it a different colour lol

Where can I get a new air filter from for my Sinnis Heist 125, a good one with a pigment filter, mine gas a pipe coming from it?
