I have read the other reviews on here - I thought it was just my case having difficulties but clearly not, which makes it all the more awful knowing this happens all the time, the service is appalling! Initially applied on the 20th July nearly two months on and we are still not there. We have lost the first property we were purchasing due to Nationwide and are praying they hurry up as we don't want to lose our second property. Both my partner and I earn good salaries, have clear credit histories and no problems we have been accepted on our affordability however like everyone else on here everything is so sssllllooowwwwww! Any member of the team you speak to in Nationwide is so disinterested, and will always try and fob you off, you have to go through your personal information everytime you call (I am calling on average three times a day at the minute). Our valuation on the property was on the 6th September it has only be keyed onto the system today due to "technical faults" how long does it take to fix a technical fault as our case had been escalated apparently! Turns out the technical department were only informed of this yesterday, therefore our case sat there for days without someone informing the technical dept it needed to be looked at. Finally we have the valuation and they have undervalued the property - this happened on the 6th Sept but we have been unable to do anything about this until it was on the system due to the fault, currently we are waiting for the senior surveyor to get in touch with his decision having given him proof properties in the area sell for that amount - watch this space - I have never come across such an incompetent company with so many incompetent staff - Warning do not apply for a mortgage with Nationwide!

my valuation was the 13th AUG ( they took the money that same day , but gave no feed back after that . i had a text to say what they were doing and iv never herd of them since ) my broker has been dealing with them since , and they are still making excuses, passing the blame on who ever had taken the last call, my broker said its the staff not trained and his firm have now said they will no-longer be dealing with the NATIONWIDE BANK .however this still didnt help us , i have now lost the property i was waiting over 3 months for this is a awful bank to do business with i will be advising everyone and anyone to keep well clear there staff are clearly not trained and have no realy guildline to follow hences the mess there in ........ and they take your money make fales agreements we earn more than enough and didnt need to borrow that much due to a large amout to put down but still they came up with excuses , gave fales hope and information please if you want to buy a house DO NOT USE THIS BANK THEY RIP YOU OFF .
