Currently we are in a house selling chain. One of the parties in the chain needs to reassign a charge on their title to the mortgage on the house that they are buying. The Cardiff HO will not speak to solicitors and have asked for the information to be faxed through for a SECOND time. Not only that but they are saying that the verbal agreement that they have made for the title to be amended will take them 3-5 days to agree in writing. This would seem to be the mark of a business that is not customer orientated, as it is not prepared to talk to clients or give a service.

My personal experience of the Lloyds TSB Mortgage service leaves a lot to be desired. After an application, which they failed to come back to me on, in order to advise me what the next steps would be. They changed their minds about who they needed to sign documents, which caused a three week delay. The solicitor involved, pointed out that they had not satisfied the money laundering requirements, which then caused another two week delay!
