After applying through Halifax for our mortgage several weeks ago we are still awaiting our offer... We initially pulled out of our first property application due to poor survey results. I was informed a change over to our pending purchase would be straightforward. This has not been the case, since the update we had problems with the Halifax system over the valuation fee. After several days we were told this was resolved and paid the fee, survey completed and sent on 18th July. On 22July I was told technical problem again over the valuation fee but would be resolved shortly and offer by 24july. After calling Halifax they have informed me that it would now need to be sent to their Technical Team to deal with a lead time of 5 working days. I cannot put into words the stress I currently feel... Frustration of not being kept informed and why it has taken me to call to escalate this when it should have automatically been sent to them to deal...... Really feel like just going on holiday....
