Easy to order on their website, the price is very attractive and the delivery quick. The quality is impeccable, I am very happy with the product. I've ordered som soaps and rassoul as well, and I equally happy with their quality. Just keep in mind it is raw products, so the texture is different from the suppermarket as no chemical has been added, but that's why I love it ! I am making my own face and body cream with shea butter, coconut oil and argan oil, and my skin has never been so healthy and pretty ! It even prevent spots !

Two weeks ago I bought kokum butter, wheat germ oil and cucumber seed oil from akomaskincare. The quality of all products was awful and the cucumber seed oil is not even an oil, it's some water with the smell of cucumber. Unrefined wheat germ oil is usually a dark orange/red oil with a very intense smell of wheat. Their oil is yellow with a faint smell and it's definitely not an unrefined oil. I emailed their customer service about the cucumber seed oil and they replied that I have to post the oil back at my expenses to get a refund. I think that given that the cucumber seed oil is a completely different product than the one they advertise on their website and indeed, not even an oil, they should have offered me a refund because that oil is water. A waste of my money. I make cosmetics and I can say that there are a few serious suppliers in Europe and akomaskincare is not.

I have decided to write this review, because the mixed reviews on this (and other review websites) really made me wonder whether to go with Akoma or not. I was looking for raw shea butter, which I previously bought from another brand, but they no longer have stockists in London and as a result the final cost to me would be rather high. After the usual research, I had my eye on shea butter from Akoma because of the price without compromise of quality. Since I do not know anyone, who had purchased from akomaskincare.co.uk, I checked out the reviews online. Rather mixed opinions made me wonder whether to spend more money and use the company I used before. However, I decided to have a leap of faith and test the customer service before making the purchase. After ringing the first time a voice mail recording started, which almost made me give up. One minute later I gave them another call and this time got an immediate response. I voiced my concern and asked for assurance and explanation of how they do things. I also asked whether they offer samples of products. The lady said they do offer 3 different samples and the choice happens at the checkout. She sounded confident and so I decided to make the order. At the checkout I chose to use the service as a guest, which did not give me any option for choosing any samples. Immediately after the order was placed, I gave them another call to ask about the samples. A different lady answered promptly, found the order and made sure to add the sample request on their end. I had chosen the cheapest delivery option, but the package arrived very quickly. Everything was there as they promised, samples included. I have already tested the shea butter and am happy with the quality. In case you are wondering, the whole samples drama was to see whether they would make an additional effort and render the bad reviews faulty. They did, to my greatest relief, hence this positive review. Hopefully it will help someone, if in doubt.

I placed an order of the black soap from Akoma in the middle of February. Luckily i paid via paypal and received an acknowledgement of paymemt from them. I did not receive anything from the company by way of notice of purchase order, receipt, despatch. After 5 working days having not received my item, i contacted Akoma. It took them 3 days to get back to me, with a very fillip ant response: it should be with you in 3 - 5 working days. I did not receive any item 10 working days later. I filed a dispute with Paypal. It was only then, did they take notice of my second e-mail which requested a despatch note. They called, without apology or information on where my purchase was. They said they were looking into it and that i would receive a text. 2 days later my order arrived. Again, there was apology or acknowledgement of their shoddy customer service. If i had not complaint to paypal, who knows where my order would be! I would not order from them EVER again. I would not recommend Akoma either. Which is shame, because their products have promise!

This is a really great company. The products I've ordered have all been of top quality and delivered speedily to me here in the Netherlands. I find the prices very reasonable considering the things I've ordered have been organic and cold pressed oils etc. I'd highly recommend this place for fresh excellent quality products at a good price!! the plastic containers are also great if you want to make your own creams etc. good idea. :)

Ėjau ne sykį į paštą, klausiau, šiaip ne taip rado. Apgailėtina, kad darbuotojai nesugeba be klaidų parašyti / nukopijuoti pavardės. Apie prekes net nerašysiu, kadangi suma nedidelė - išmečiau net nebandžius. Rizikinga kažką ant savęs tepti, neaišku iš kur ten viskas "importuota", jei net duomenų nesugeba kupopijuot, ir nepristatytas bei medžiojamas siuntinys pašte, kai už lango +28C, prabuvo pakankamai ilgai. Nerekomenduoju niekam tokios firmos.

After doing lots of research for organic shea butter and finding a source for real black soap, I decided to trust Akoma and started ording product in Oct 2011. I have placed additional orders and was well on my way to being a regular customer. BUT this recent incident has left me very, very disappointed. I placed an order 4/9/2012, never received the order, or any notification about my order. When I finally emailed about it, I was told it was canceled. I asked why and was told there are shipping problems to the US.OKAY…...WHY is that not clearly stated on the website!! I work on systemS it is not hard to put a temporary message on the website about suspended service OR at least have the decency to send me an email to the address I put on my order. NOW I have no more product and none on the way. My household uses the Black soap, Shea Butter, and Coconut oil. THANKS A LOT!

I am quite impressed with the speed of the delivery of my order. I am very excited to use my shea butter in my 1st mix. I was expecting a few packages but as soon as I smelled the aroma of the butters I knew immediately what was in the envelope. Thank you again for your quality items & I'll definitely be telling my friends about you. I love how reasonable the prices including shipping are, keep up the great work.

I used to buy a lot of natural oils and butters from Akoma skincare. Their prices were fantastic and I thought the integrity of the reviews on the website could be counted on. I stopped ordering from them when they started increasing their prices, increases of more than 50% on certain items. As a result of that I have started purchasing all oils and butters from a different online store in the UK which has excellent prices, customer service, and excellent quality products. In addition I discovered that they only publish the good reviews and leave the bad ones out. I discovered that by chance when I sent in two honest reviews of products I had ordered from them. One good review on the first product and one negative review on a second product. They did not publish the second review. They only published the review which recommended the first product. I believe a company should be honest to its customers. Censoring reviews is being totally disonest to customers. Customers should be entitled to read different views of different products, so that they can make truly informed purchases. I stopped ordering products from them.

I have got to say thank you Akoma!! I am a mixed race female and I have started to go natural!! I use the shea butter 0n my hair and it has given me he best curls ever and my hair has started to recover after years of chemical processing!!
I also suffer from acne scars and spots and blackheads. After a week I saw the blackheads come to the surface and just Disappear!!! Spots calmed down after 2 weeks and I can say after 2 months of black soap and shea butter I'm happier with my skin, I feel like the women I should be. I can finally go ot without makeup!! No more squeezing spots that made me scar in the first place.
Service is great and well worth the money. Value for money.

Someone from a hair blog mentioned Akoma and out of curiosity, I went to the website and was amazed by the different types of natural products they had, and cheaper compared to another site I had wanted to order from. I am glad I decided to purchase from Akoma. The service is efficient, and the quality of the shea butter and black soap is excellent. I will continue to order from them from now on, as I am now moving towards natural products. Good after service too. Quite impressive.

We have always found Akoma very good with their Customer Service and Technical Support. I am not very technical but the support and guidence I received was excellent. Their products are fantastic. It has taken me years to control my skin condition and since using Akomas products I can now say my skin has improved.

It also makes me happy to know when I buy products from Akoma I am supporting the Akoma Cooperative who are trying to make a living and support their family and children. Sometimes we expect too much but when we take a step back our life is not that bad compared to those in developing countries.

Keep up the good work Akoma and I will contiunue to support the Women and their family in Ghana by buying your products. In addition you do have excellent customer service and I have spread the good news to my friends and family. My next order will be going in.
