I have had my Nokia 3360 for almost 2 years now. It was my first cell phone, and I was very sceptical since it was going to replace my land phone. The most important feature for me was to be able to use international calling cards, and this is a great feature from Nokia. Also, the reception has been great allover the bay area, except for certain spots in some buildings.
My agreement with ATT ends within the next month and I have been looking for a replacement phone and maybe a different provider, but I haven't seen, read, or heard of any phone and provider that is better.
This is the best phone and I am probably not going to get a new phone anymore until this one gives up.

The Nokia 3360 phone will get you by if used occasionally. But you will have to charge it almost every day.

I have had this Nokia 3360 mobile phone for about half a year. Im not going to say "its a terrible phone" or "its a great phone" because that would get no where. Instead, i will tell what it has and some small problems i have had with them in the past. The nokia 3360 phone is about 4 in long and 3 in thick (approx.). It has the number buttons plus 6 other buttons above it (up and down arrow buttons, 2 selection buttons, and 2 phone buttons which are call and hang up). This phone gets about moderate reception and a medium-low battery life (if used about 20 - 40 min. a day and is fully charged, it MIGHT make it through the day).
These phones have been known to have glitches in their display (the whole screen is upside down and mirrored and some of the time is just a bunch of gibberish) but the problem is fixed by opening the case and sticking a thin piece of paper (toilet paper works wonders) between the metal display and the plastic cover (the reason this works is because the display has a short in it and isnt getting enough pressure from the case).
The features on this phone are mediocre. It has a messaging system and some chat functionality, and it even has infrared capabilities (which barely anyone ever uses). This phone is unable to recieve new ringtones (such as buying and getting a new ringtone off the internet, sorry, wont work) and it also doesnt have a composer, so u cant manually put new ringtones into phone.
This is a VERY basic phone. This phone is really for a person who is just needing a phone to talk on when he/she is outside (it gets terrible, almost none, reception when you're indoor, in the car, or not on some sort of hill).
For the cheap person looking for the bare essentials... OK. For the person who is looking for a normal phone that people wont make fun of you for having...... stay CLEAR away...

The Nokia 3360 is the worst mobile phone I have ever used! Makes me question NOKIA products in general if some engineer actually designed this box of crud.

I have had the Nokia 3360 mobile phone for well over a year. I love it, it's my baby now. TDMA cell phones have the advantage for those in the digital network traveling down a freeway at highspeed, very clear ( as opposed to a CDMA cell phone) The size of the phone is great, it's not too small, nor too big. VERY loud ringer if you set to max. The battery is heavier than the phone itself. I just ordered a new battery (on sale for $40 Canadian), my first one since I bought the phone over a year ago. The clarity of this phone on the digital network is awesome! Especially in cities. It switches to digital and analogue automatically. It has an alarm clock, even works when you turn the phone off. text messaging is always fun. You can send messages to any email address or phone with text messaging. You can play games against somebody with the same phone as you. All in all, it's a good phone, all these people complaining this phone has poor reception has got nothing to do with the phone, but rather where they are, or which company. I am with Rogers AT&T, and they have excellent signal reception. Cell phones are not meant to be made for chatting for hours on end, they're used to make quick calls when you need to, or to keep in touch. DON'T FORGET THAT!

This phone is a piece of junk. Nokia Refuses to admit they made a bad phone. The screen display get scrambled or disapears all together. It's a manufacturers defect. I think Nokia should recall these phones and give us all a repaired version.

This Nokia 3360 stinks. I got bad reception and short battery life.(especially in cold weather). I owned one for about 8 months all the while it froze up, restarted, and drove me nuts. Nothing is worse than waiting for an important call and looking at your phone a couple of hours later only to find its been froze up ALL DAY!!!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS ONE

This Nokia 3360 is a good phone, the recepetion is not the best but it makes up for it because it is small and has a long battery life. I have had it for about a year and it has never froze on me

ok when i first got this phone i thought it was perty neat. now it sucks. the battery will say full and then all the sudden drop to no battery and die on you. the reception is awful. Unless i have a digital connection then i cant receive calls and i never have a digital connection. If you press a button on your phone, the connection to the tower is reset for no reason. Dont buy it-it sucks. The no antenna thing is the only good thing about this phone (and thats why it sucks)
written by Jesse. on 02/02/2003
If people would read the instruction manual they'd read how they're supposed to hold the phone...holding the phone where the antenna is internally located uses extra power and it overheats the phone, which thus activates the thermo shut down (which is what people are calling freezing or shutting down). Overall, this phone has worked very well so far! Battery life seems to be substantial, and to those of you who think it sucks, maybe it's because it's in analog mode? Analog mode is very inefficient compared to Digital; making a huge difference in battery life... you cannot expect the thing to last a week on a single charge...

This phone frustrates me to no end. I am paying 40 dollars a month for a phone that I can barely even use. Half of the time it says "no service" in places where other nokias have full service, and the battery dies so fast. My old 5160 was better than this! Also it cuts out all the time. Waste of time and money.

I agree with the previous post. The phone apparently has this "no service" problem. Mine popped up right after it went out of waranty. Isn't that convieninet. Forces me to upgrade every year.

Just purchased prepaid plan through Liberty Wireless using the Sprint network. First phone with my package was LG 1010. I kept getting "No Signal" and dropped calls. Thinking that upgrading the phone would improve the situation to a LG 1100, I was wrong. I still have the same problem. Now I am finding out that the problem may not be the phone at all. I am possibly getting a poor reception. Someone suggested that I contact the service provider and they can attempt to boost the reception.

So instead of considering the problem being the phone for causing poor reception or dropped calls, consider the possibility of the network service. Pass this on to others who may be experiencing similar problems...this may save them a great deal of money.

I have Cingular and the same thing happened to me. Right after the warranty ran out my 3360 started loosing service CONSTANTLY! When I took it back to Cingular they told me that they discontinued the phone so they could no longer service it or accept it as a trade in. Because I already have a contract with them I don't get any deals on a new phone. The cheapest they have is $130. As soon as my contract is up I will leave Cingular never to return. I suggest you stay away from Cingular. They have the worst costomer service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

What service provider are y'all using? The phone can only pick up a good signal from a good provider... Anyone having trouble with Cingular?

This phone is really good, the battery lasts for a really long time. Alot of reviews say this phone freezes all the time, but I've had mine for about a year and it has never froze on me. I have never had any complants on this phone whatsoever.

I do not recommend this phone to anyone. I've had it for just over a year, and phone quality deteriotes with each month. It cuts out at random times for no apparent reason, and reception is poor compared to other phones. >Keep looking....

A sweet phone with good games and it never freezes.

I've read many reviews however I dont know what the frezzing is all about. I am a verizon wireless sales man and my job is to use and review many different phones. This phone never freezes, has grat features, and I a very good phone for its price. The reception could be better but that my be at&t. Overall I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I'm hard to impress so if I like it you will.

This phone is horrible, it doesn't keep the battery! It's always FREEZEING!!! it's like a computer!
written by Lady. on 14/11/2002
The 3360 sucks. First of all the phone shuts off by itself. Two it freezes at least once a week. I have had to take this phone back 4 times and I have only had it less than a year. It also has very poor reception. It's not a good phone and I don't recommend anyone buying it.

I love this phone!!! It is alot cheaper than the 8290 and 8260. You can download ringtones on it too! The only problem is that inside my school I can't get a good strong signal like with my old 5185i. But overall I think it's great. No real problems!!! I give it an A++ and recommend it to everyone I know!

I could't agree with you more about the battery. I have had this phone for 8 months and then the problems have started. I am on my 3rd replacement phone and the 4th is on its way. There seems to be a real problem with this. I am on a call with a fully charged battery for 2 mins and then the low battery indicator starts. I get off the call and pull the battery out for about 10 mins and put it back in and it then registers as full again with no charging of the battery. This is ok if you only make 2 min phone calls.
