We started on a mobile plan at £3 a month just a few years ago. It then rose to £9 a month, with talktalk helping themselves to the money from our bank account. Meanwhile they are doing an offer for £4.45 a month for 12 months. We are eligible for it but they don't tell us, still less automatically transfer us to it. So you have to be very vigilant and apply for the current offers if you don't want to pay through the nose. The good point is that we can have it if we ask - it's not just for new customers.
