I don’t actually have a contractual relationship with O2, but my wife did.
Half way through a 24 month contract ( at almost £30 a month for an I-Phone ) she died and I was apprehensive about contacting O2 to notify them of this and deal with the options for the remainder of the contract.
They have a specialist Bereavement Team who were absolutely marvellous.
The contract was cancelled immediately, no further payments, and I got to keep the phone. Not only that, but they unlocked it within a few minutes so I could use it on my own network.
Even the official part of notifying them of my wife’s death was handled with great sensitivity.
I can only give them just 5 stars maximum as a review but feel they deserve at least 10 for the superb quality of customer support at such a difficult time. They restored my faith in human nature and big corporations. Well done O2.
