Bad

I bought AKAI microwave in 2012. Beside the terrible rusty body, it's performance is very poor. It takes ages and yet the food never get warm. please don't buy!

Worrying!

The first oven I ordered the door did not close securely and had play in top opening half so I could push it to further but it would just pop out again. Ordered a replacement. Now this one, if I open the door slowly (still plugged in but no timer set to run) it starts running again on it's own- it makes the same sound it does as when it's cooking! I don't know if radiation is escaping or not! Its very worrying. Will request a refund and give this brand a miss in future. Company never answers their help line

Microwave Revue

I have found the Akai microwave quite disappointing. Although the appearance is great the instructions are almost impossible to follow.I have asked every one who comes to my kitchen to heat some coffee and all find it a complete bind ( and this includes someone who assembles flat packs for a living )

I am able to use the microwave but unplug it when not actually in use because I am not confident that the appliance is not still running.
