I purchased the YSL false lash effect mascara (waterproof) at the same time as a YSL touché eclat. The touché eclat is amazing but the mascara was a complete waste of money. I paid over £20 for it and have used it three times then given up. It's very messy and very clumpy, just doesn't make my eyelashes look very good at all. It also smudged under my eyes within the first few hours, terrible. The brush always has too much product on it, meaning you have to wipe the excess with a tissue. I felt like this was a waste! Even then it's still very messy. All in all this is the first YSL product i have ever been dissapointed with. I wouldn't reccommend it, go for a cheaper version. I am yet to find anything that beats Loréal Telescopic Mascara.

If you want a Mascara that lengthens each lash and results in making your eyes stand out beautifully. This is THE ONE!

A friend had recommended it to me for ages, i still didnt buy it. Lol I thought it was abit too pricey for a mascara, but my opinion changed when she leant it to me. A little sacrifice by paying a few more pounds, but DAMN does it makes your eylashes look mesmerizing!

First tried Yves Saint Laurent False Lash Effect after reading another review, does what it says on the box. Takes my lashes from non-existence to long and lush with just two coats. Been asked so many times if I've had extensions to which my reply of no prompts 'wow, you've got lovely lashes'.

Still using this as I've tried so many mascaras and have not had the same result as ysl false effect, but still on the lookout for something that will give me the same result at a cheaper price.

The life of the product seems extremely short. When used every day, I found that the actual make-up became gluggy and thick within 2 weeks of CORRECT use.

If the product lasted longer then I think I would buy it again. I feel it is quite expensive for the short period of time it was usable.

Yves Saint Laurent False Lash Effect - WOW This mascara does wonders! Can't believe I've finally found my perfect Mascara!

Its taken me so long to find a decent mascara that suits my poor (and pathetic excuse for) eyelashes. It lengthens all of my lashes (including the smaller lashes you wouldn't normally see), clearly defines and seperates and curls to create a full fan of femenine lashes.

This mascara does exactly what it says its meant to do. It does not flake, smear or smudge, and lasts all day, Eyes are significantly wider, prettier, and more femenine.

I am more than impressed and relieved. I own 6 mascaras from Dior and Chanel to Clinique and MAC - and i have finally found a mascara that suits my lashes and does exactly what i want.

I have very, very light eyelashes which look almost none existant without mascara. Every time I purchase a new mascara I hope that it will make my lashes long and fluttery and end up bitterly disappointed. My partner bought me this mascara after he saw a review on TV and I have to say WOW! This is without doubt the BEST mascara I have ever used. It left my eyelashes looking long and flirty, they were evenly separated and not clogged at all and the mascara smelt divine. My partner was blown away and rather impressed with himself. I have had about 3 different comments on the length of my eyelashes. My mum and sister both have the same eyelashes as me and both of them are off to purchase the same mascara based on how mine looked. The best thing is - I work long long hours and usually have to reapply mascara throughout the day. This did not smudge or flake at all. In fact it was still in tact at 9pm at night when I came to remove it. It came off easily with my simple face wipes which are no stronger than any other make up remover. I am blown away by this product which is unusual for me as I am a big fan of high street brand make up having used other big brands which just haven't worked. If you want your eyes to look wide and sparkly then buy this.
