Bought the demo from Peugeot dealer after it was 18 months old and done 28000. 2.0 turbo diesel sports exec new at first reg April 2006. was still in very good condition only had big bills in last year and the work done was expected they even tweaked the engine at the dealership as I had spent a lot with them and yes somewhat underpowered but a lot of Peugeots are, it's the economy thing these days. It's good as new now and I find not bad on fuel when your pulling 1.8 tons around (I think) as well as a car full of kids. Cam belt £600 did this early not on mileage but how many years in the car seen and heard too many horror stories from cam belt snapping in all cars but its everything with it not just the belt that is changed. Dealership have been awesome for service. Peugeot could have tweaked the issues up better and carried on selling them they was onto a good idea with people carriers. Overall I have had a lot worse. Late 2006 or in 2007 the diesel had 10 extra horses put in it so they must have heard some of you.

OH MY WORD - THIS IS DESCRIBING MY 807 DOWN TO A T!!!!!! Except for my windscreen wipers, which have clung on for dear life!! My first clutch went at 30 000km - waited for 6 weeks for repairs. Light, visor, doors, leaking roof etc - all the same!! On my 3rd clutch at 145 000km (normal wear and tear, according to our dealer)!!!!

“The Peugeot 807 2.2 Petrol Executive People Carrier is...”

★★★★☆

written by Topcat001 on 24/11/2004

The Peugeot 807 2.2 Petrol Executive People Carrier is actually quite a nice car and would be really great if the bad points were attended to.

The best thing is the driving position and the general comfort on long journeys. I sometimes drive for 500+ miles and can easily do this with no breaks.

A little disappointed with the lack of acceleration, which detracts from the driving experience. This car is definitely underpowered. The consumption is terrible - if you are really light on the throttle you can get up to 25 MPG. Don't display the instantanious fuel monitor on the drive computer, it will scare you!

The kids love the car - they call it the "Spaceship". The interior and exterior lend themselves to the description well, and the motorised rear doors add to the feeling.

Shame about the luggage space with seven seats fitted.

I've had my Peugeot 807 2.2 petrol Executive people carrier for 6 month's. I've had the windscreen changed, leaking water, 3 weeks later still leaking water, horn stopped working, electric door nearside opens and closes 2 or 3 times before it shuts and the automatic gearbox has got a mind of its own.

“Having previously owned a Renault Espace for several...”

★★★★☆

written by Yeoman on 14/05/2004

Having previously owned a Renault Espace for several years I decided to switch to the Peugeot 807 for my next vehicle.
I have been delighted with the car so far and it is a more comfortable drive than the Renault. I have had a few annoying little problems including water leaking into the car. The rear 12v socket (a must with teenagers wanting to power CD players, games consoles etc) was missing on delivery. These problems have quickly been rectified.
The powered sliding rear doors are great even though you lose some storage space on the inside of the door, and in the rear where presumably the power units are located. When opening or closing, the doors also send out an alarm signal that at night seems unnecessarily loud. I find the climate control system very versatile and effective and the coated front screen helps keep the heat down.
The handbrake is located by the door which, once you get used to it, is much better and frees up space between the front seats.
The car is full of gadgets however they can be more annoying than useful. The automatic wipers are a good idea however, they sometimes keep going when there is virtually no rain or spray. The automatic headlights are unnecessary and not entirely efficient. They often come on when passing under a bridge only to go off after just a few seconds but then, on other occasions don't come on when I think necessary. This feature can be disabled.
I opted to have Xenon lights fitted (much cheaper than on most other new cars) and these are excellent.
I have just had the 20,000 mile service and no extras were required.

What caused the water leak, did they fix it, if so how was it fixed? My 807 also has a leak (I'm about to send it in to get it identified and fixed).
