I consider myself to be pretty on the ball with money saving schemes etc but I've come unstuck with this one!
I exchanged £12.50 in Clubcard vouchers for £50 in Park Resorts vouchers in February 2013. I read the t & c beforehand and thought it looked ok. What I didn't do was check the price of the break on Park Resorts website (big mistake!)
Here's the issue:
* 3 nights in a Gold Plus caravan, 22/03/13 £136 website price.
* Same break, £185 to Tesco Voucher holders. You cannot book online, only through the call centre. So, I got the break for £135 plus my vouchers. Essentially, I've cashed in £12.50 worth of points to save £1! Only, I haven't even saved that as the 9 minute call to the call centre cost me 45p and I've been told to send the vouchers by recorded delivery.
I feel a bit of a fool and will only be using my future vouchers to exchange in store.
