I went to Remo's Village on Friday evening with 2 friends and we were met by friendly Italian waiter who showed us to our table. The restaurant is small and traditionally furnished but with a lovely Italian feel. We were given the menus and told about the specials of the day. We decided to have a bottle of the House red wine which was very reasonably priced at £12, unfortunatey we were not too keen when we tasted the red but the waiter didn't mind at all and asked what type of wine we preferred. My friend asked for something similar to a Rioja! At which there was a lot of laughter as the Italian waiter pretended to be offended at the request of a Spanish wine in an Italian! We were made to feel very welcome and even the chef came out and introduced himself. The food was fantastic, we had decided not to have a starter and just asked for some bread with olives and maybe cold meats? No problem said the waiter and he returned 10 minutes later with a huge platter of breads, olives, melon, king prawns, Parma ham and pickles, it was absolutely wonderful. We all had steaks for main course and they were perfectly cooked to order. The staff are very friendly and welcoming with great food, I will definitely be booking again soon.
