Avoid

My advise is do not buy from these people. It was supposed to be next day delivery but having placed the order they told me the UV lamps I required were out of stock but more were expected in two days. When they arrived I fitted the first one which immediately failed. I then fitted the second one which also failed. I obtained another from a local specialist retailer which didn't fail and is still working. I contacted elc and said that from the nature of the fault it appeared to be a manufacturing problem with the batch. Without seeing the lamps they told me it must have been my fault and showed no interest in resolving the issue. So I sent the lamps back to Philips who said they wouldn't do anything as the lamps were out of warranty; the date stamp at the end of the lamp showed 2016. So I have to rate elc's customer service as zero and just wonder how it was that they were waiting for these lamps to come into stock if they were already out of the manufacturer's warranty? I have to say that I rate Philips customer service as also being very poor. In my opinion, avoid both elc and Philips.
