I contacted then as I wanted to see if I had a claim against a mental health trust for inadequate

Care and worsening of my wellbeing due to numerous complaints to which the trust had admitted to.

I was told that although it could be said I had received poor care it could not be proven so they did not take the case!

When will the lack of understanding that mental health is an illness like any other ever end!

I went to Neil Hudgell Solicitors after my daughter was bullied at school. The first solicitor who took the case said it was a strong case and inspired me full of confidence. She took her time to issue the claim and I was thoroughly optimistic. I gave every piece of evidence I had and she assured me things would be fine, probably be a battle somewhere along the line, but it would be fine.

Not long after the Neil Hudgell solicitor issued the claim, she left the firm. Still optimistic, I waited for the new person to set in and carry on. The first thing that happened was for me to be told the letter of claim was wrong and had to be re-issued; good start I thought not. Another claim was issued and my confidence started wavering. Being tied into their agreement however meant I had to stay put.

Finally approximately 10 months after saying I had a good case, the current Neil Hudgell Solicitor has pulled the plug on everything. The party I was trying to bring justice against denied everything (of course) and no fight was put up.

I can understand a solicitor reviewing everything and not thinking a case was good enough to proceed with but I think 10 months is way to long for a firm to change their mind. I am sure if a defendant 'rolls over' and admits anything/everything, they are a suitable firm. However, if you have anything difficult I would stay away if I were you because I really wished I had.

The advisor was very efficient in every way with my claim and I would recommend her services to anyone wanting fast and efficient service.
