Surprisingly unprofessional in almost every way from my experience, and cynical with it, including its management.

I spoke with this company just now. I was asked questions and he wouldn't let me finish. I find this rude and when I mentioned it, he put the phone down

I was recently faced with having to achieve 5 exchanges of contract virtually simultaneously, with one being an exchange of a UK property for one in France.

My usual solicitor had just retired, and so faced with the search for a new relationship with a company I could trust and work well with, I took the advice of a work contact and got in touch with Bonallack and Bishop.

It is never easy changing solicitors after a long relationship with the last one so I was feeling a bit vulnerable to be honest. Especially with the relatively demanding schedule I had lined up.

I needn't have worried. From the outset, B&B were so helpful, courteous and prompt in their responses. I actually always got to speak to someone when I needed to, and calls and emails were responded to very quickly.

On day one I was assigned a solicitor and associated paralegal, and it was they who guided me through four of the five contracts.

The French UK exchange alone involved 4 lawyers, one of whom was the Notaire in France, and as you can imagine required a lot of tact and patience. The B&B team were just great and despite having to put up with endless delays and lack of timely responses to their communications, they just kept moving calmly towards the finishing line, This was complicated by the fact that I needed to complete the transaction before the 1st April stamp duty rise.

Another instruction was to exchange simultaneously within 28 days, on the sale of a house, and the purchase of an off plan flat,with a very delayed completion date. Again, this was not simple and was happening at the same time as my original instruction.

Finally. and also within the same stamp duty time frame,was another flat purchase.

As I write,all of the above has been achieved and I am now only waiting for completion on the house and flat.

I commend B&B for their patience with me and professionalism with all the other solicitors. I was never made to feel like a nuicence as my stress levels rose, or avoided on the phone.

I can wholeheartedly recommend B&B because to bring all of the above to a satisfactory conclusion all at once was impressive.
