This Could Be The Future Of Computing
The Acer C720 is a slim light 'laptop'. It runs on the Chorme os. Its very portable but does require wifi but thats no problem when you can create a hot spot from my phone. For browsing the web its blisteringly fast. I have an ageing laptop that i can work from when i need to, but for web browsing and catchup TV its not so good. So I decided not to go down the road of a new laptop running windows or the too expensive Apple products, I did some 'homework' and decided on the Acer chromebook C720. For the price of £200 I think its amazing. It's very light has great battery life. It boots up in just a few seconds and scans as it starts for any changes to its os for malware/virus.
I'm real pleased with my purchase, it does all I wanted and some.
Then to my surprise I found out about Chromecast so i now have a great 'Smart TV' for £230, so catchup TV and films are just a few clicks away. There are apps to download and i guess there will be more coming along, so for browsing, checking e-mail and working in google docs I'm very happy to have spent so little and got a lot for my money.
It's not a replacement for a laptop/desktop but in addition to those and my android phone its fits well in my life and has made me smile.
