I purchased this kettle solely based on its good looks/design/name and quality build. However, I noticed 6 months later a small leak at the base but instead of taking it straight back to the shop I put a tissue down and when the leak had got worse (another 6 months) guarantee had expired, silly boy! Now 5 months on element has grounded/expired. Before I binned it I took it apart and found the culprit for the water leak a poor fitting seal. I did have second thoughts though of maybe using it for a shiny plant pot!
