This evening (10.30pm) I realised that I must put in place my new Council Tax Direct Debit. I rang the required number offered by Barclays. It took them 15 minutes to answer my call. My instructions were simple: please update my existing Direct Debit for 2013-2014. All of teh Codes remain the same just the numbers for each month will change. The call centre operative did not even know what a Council Tax obligation was! Then following a frustrating 20 minutes of confused and muddled responses from the Barclays respresentative. I simply called it a day.
