Muir of Ord, Home Farm Bed & Breakfast

When I first came accross Home Farm, Highfield Mains, Muir of Ord on the Internet I was very impressed by the high quality of facilities on offer there. Situated five miles from the A9 north of Inverness in Muir of Ord makes it easily accessible and very easy to find. The establishment has Three bedrooms consisting of one family room and two double rooms. One of the double rooms is on the groung floor the remainder are on the first floor. It is centrally based in the Northern Highlands and a brilliant base to visit all of the spectacular sights of the area. There are well established gardens to the side and rear of the B&B with a fantastic garden pond and bird feeding area where you can relax the time away. On our arrival (4adults) we were greeted by the owners, Sue and Stewart who are two of the most helpful and friendly people I have ever met. The rooms are well equipped and immaculate with all the amenities we could wish for. The standard of food is better than I have experienced in some professional resteraunts and made from high quality local produce. Evening meals can be provided by arrangement. They are of such high standard that we had them on every night of our stay bar one and that was only because we were very late getting back from one of our trips. Sue is a brilliant cook and will vary the menue to your taste. Both Sue and Stewart have a wealth of knowledge of the places to visit and sights to see. All in all the best word to describe our experience of home farm is fantastic. Great accomodation, superbe hosts fantastic food and wonderful surroundings, what more can you ask for. This is now our second visit there and we are planning many more. If you want the personal frienldy touch then Home Farm is the place to be
