Battlesteads, Wark, Northumberland

Went for overnight stay with Travelzoo.The weather was foul but the warm friendly welcome made up for it. The room was very modern and done to a very high standard. the bed was very comfortable and the bedding of a high standard . Organic toiletries and plenty of white fluffy towels. The 7course tasting menu was outstanding all homegrown produce and locally sourced meat and fish. the breakfast was of again a high standard and would set you up for the day. The staff were outstanding ,very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their work! Will be back.
