I can not believe that such a great place is at the same time CHEAP, I mean they nickel and dime you; you want internet access, you pay for it, you want coffee in your room, you pay for it, etc... It is really a shame that in these times when everyone gives you free features to get the business this hotel charges you for everything and also missadvertises, on the brochure offers a spa for mom and a golf game for dad well oops! if there are two moms on the party and no dad, well too bad you can not exchange the golf for a spa you got to pay for it. You want to have a great vacation... do not go to Paradise Village Hotel!

Our family of six has been to Paradise Village three times and we absolutely love it. We go there with the intention of relaxing in the sun. We do not plan jeep, dolphin, hiking or any adventure or cultural tours. We do not want to constantly be on the go we go to RELAX. We have rented from owners either a two bedroom condo or a three bedroom pentouse in the Marina Residences or the Grand Marina Residences. Both of these locations have their own pool and are just a short walk to the fun resort pools and ocean. Prices renting through an owner are much more reasonable than renting through the resort. I pick up the welcome pack and firmly say no to all attempts at condo presentations, it simply is not worth wasting half a day in the sun for a free breakfast or adventure tour. We prepare many of our meals in the condo and eat out a couple of nights and go to the Mexican Fiesta. There is a mall with grocery store right next door which is very convenient for preparing your own meals. The resort is extremely safe along with the water!

Paradise Village is a beautiful place.
Pros:
-Good food, nice beach, and really nice rooms.
-The hotel is a beautiful place.
-The hotel's help are friendly.
-There was some live music for a couple of the days which was very nice.
-The hotel has good activities for kids.
Cons:
-It is a long ways from town, most of the activities are in town, and there is no hotel provided transportation. Therefore, if you want to do or see anything other than what is in hotel, expect to pay a lot in cab fairs.
-This "All-Inclusive" is not ALL inclusive. At the outset it was difficult to get information on the "included" items. The menus in the restaurants have a lot of choices but only a couple of choices will be included. Margaritas are included but other fruit drinks, wine, or water are not. Coffee with your meal is included but if you get a cup of coffee at the stand in the lobby it isn't. Ice cream with dinner is included but if you get ice cream at the outside stand it is not. You need to hassle at every meal figuring out what is included and what is not included and with signing for the "included" and the not included items. You have to save your receipts to show at checkout or you will be charged for "included" items. I am sure the hotel's goal was to have every guest pay an extra $300 for non-included items. If you are interested in a hassle free vacation with everything paid for in advance - find a different place.
-The prices on the non-included items are high.
-There are basically no shows at all.
-The first day is a total hassle. The "greeter" tries every means possible to get you to sign up for a time-share presentation. Including a 'free' breakfast. What is a 'free' breakfast at a "All-Inclusive"? The next tactic was to say we could get a discount on a couple of the "special" nights that weren't included. It turns out, the special nights were included! We missed the first "special" night due to the greeter. Instead of explaining how the hotel worked, what to expect, where to fine stuff, what was included and how to tell, the "greeter" was giving us mis-information, wasting our precious vacation time, and telling us the hotel wasn't really interested in being a hotel but a time-share.

We just came back from Paradise Village. We stayed there from April 9-13. All and all it was a very nice clean place. It was also very kid friendly. There are many "hidden costs" that you need to look out for. Save ALL of your reciepts because you will need them when you check-out. Do not be fooled by the greeter at the front. They will tell you that they are there to give you information about the hotel and they will give you a schedule for the kids activities. It is all disguised very well. In fact, it is a trap for them to tell you about the timeshares. Very nice place but be cautious of who you speak to. Make sure they are not trying to sell you timeshares. They probably are.
