Lovely area, good coach driver, rubbish substitute hotel. Meals were poor, no bar, swimming pool area very tired and dirty, room okay but air conditioning intermitent and bathroom very small. When we complained to Shearings they gave a poor excuse for switching hotels at the last moment, no explanation for the extremely bad service received from the substitute hotel. We did look at the original hotel, far superior to the one we ended upin, 4 star in Italy means little and is not monitored. Despite being offered vouchers worth £210.00 we are hardly likely to book with Shearings again. What you buy is not what is necessarily received.

so many people get caught out yet so few complain this is where the crux of the issue to the problem is.
companies of this type and ilk rely on past glories or the size of the business.
coach holidays especially around europe are becoming more prevalent, especially with the latest hybrid dual style engine tech that will be appearing on the scene too.
there will be an increased desire to tour europe by coach in an ecological way.
you cannot see europe from the window of an aircraft at low level.
the formula for these coach tour operators in getting it right is simple stop cutting corners.
force hotel owners to provide what is required with no excuses.
i met a a millionaire hotel owner in the south of italy, he is contracted to shearings he told me how he makes a profit using top quality hotels with low charge rates to shearings, his normal room prices are £300 a night.
it can be done these things can be run very well its all about policing, inspection and application.
complain complain complain is the key if you sit there in silence there will never be change there cannot be it does not work that way.
if you feel that strongly about a case then litigate it costs £150 in small claims.
force them to mediation before it gets to a hearing.
please if your are unhappy then exercise your right.
it is the only way forward.
