This hotel is listed as 5* however if I am being super critical I would really rate it as a 4* , the hotels location is amazing within 5 minute walk from the Tower of London and from tower hill dlr and tube stations as well as the river taxis so getting around is very simple. The hotel itself is very pleasant , very modern possibly lacking character of some of the other 5* hotels within London , we arrived early at approximately 12pm the check in time was listed as 3pm so no big problem they looked after our bags and check in was quite smooth and they asked us to return at 3pm , we came back after having lunch and a look around the west end andi spike to the reception at 305pm who told me that the room was still not ready and to take a seat in the bar and someone will collect us in 5 minutes , 25 minutes later no sign so I enquired again at the reception who stated they had no record of my check in ? Even though I had already paid and showed them my receipt ...and the fact they told me to wait in the bar ???? .. Thankfully a duty manager stepped in and apologised and stated that a junior staff member had messed up the checking in procedures and several people were all waiting to be given rooms ..eventually 45 minutes later I had my room key and was given a room on the 6th floor with a nice view of tower bridge The room was very clean and spacious with a smart tv and sockets for hdmi cables and phone chargers which I thought was a nice touch , the shower was amazing with loads of buttons which I'm not quite sure what did what but was pretty good Breakfast is expensive £20 per person so we went to nearby spitalfields market for a better range and half the price Would stay here again we used this hotel as I got a good rate on booking.com and we were at the theatre on the Saturday night so with the transport links made it more enjoyable Just a little bit disappointed with the check in as being listed as a 5* hotel you expect the attention to detail to be a little bit more on the ball , however that being said it was sorted out and no major problems

I am a regular user of this hotel, I was recommended by a family member last year and since have gone back and stayed there a few times. Its very close to central which is good and the hotel staff are very welcoming. If you are staying in London, you should defiantly try this place, you wont be disappointed.

We were woken @ 4am by a strange man in our room. He got in through a faulty lock on our door, ( confirmed by the police) he attempted to get into bed with us and touched certain parts of our body. It was thee most terrifying experience. We had to run out of our room naked and down the hall, screaming for help. The staff accused us of leaving our door open and I was even accused of letting the man in. I took a pannick attack and I was given a bottle of water which I was later charged for. I've never been treated like this in my life. This is such a beautiful hotel in a great location, however our treatment has left us disgusted. The police ref number is CAD 13398 30 September
