This is just to say thank you to all our clients who have ridden with us for many years, and to all the people who have written comments on this site for all to see. Due to ill health I have had to close the riding school, but our yard is still open and we still have full livery services run by my daughter Jaine. Thank you once again to you all.

Finlow is a great riding school. I love all the horses they all have really different personalities so it's fun having a different one each week. Horses well looked after and the girls are constanntly busy cleaning the stables and yard. Learnt to ride here and have been coming for over 5 years. Teachers have all been great, especially leanne. Love the whole setting and seeing all the wildlife surrounding menage. Really lovelly routes to take horses on a hack as close to the woods around the national trust 'the edge'. Really sorry to see the riding school close - will be the first in the que if they decide to open the doors for lessons again.

Finlow Hill Riding Stables is just simply brilliant! By far the best that i have EVER been to. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and just like a family. I have learnt so must from there. The trainers are excellent to teach not only how to ride but what to do on the ground with a horse aswell, it is all at such a high standard! You get so much out of the lesson for your money! Safty is the number 1 priority there.
Thank-you so much for every thing that you have helped me achieve Pat, Malcolm, Lean and everyone else on the yard!

Such a shame Finlow is closing, i started riding there, and will never forget it, it is incredible, and not only do you learn to ride, but you learn all about the horse's needs and it tack. My instructor- Leanne, i would say was one of the nicest people i have ever met, she's so friendly and boosts your confidence x1234324875632847562384756. She is always cracking jokes and makes the lessons such fun. Katie and Joy are also lovely though! Such a nice environment. In reply to the first review where you were riding Yorkie, as of today he's MINE! I've just bought him, since the riding school is closing, he's so amazing and I'm so happy! I'm so grateful to Finlow, and Leanne, thank you guys

A brilliant establishment with well cared for and turned out horses and facilities with very friendly and helpful staff. Its a great place to have a go at side saddle with fantastic teaching and a price that won't break the bank. A great experience with excellent value for money. In spite of living an hour away I will be becoming a regular and have already recommended Finlow Hill Stables to friends.

Finlow Hill runs an excellent riding school program. The instructors work hard to make sure that you are always improving, and there is a wide range of horses to suit different riders and their abilities. The horses are kept to a high standard and the yard is very well run. There are also chances for hacks in the surrounding area and a set of cross country field jumps. Definitely worth ringing up and booking an introductory lesson.

Having made the decision to learn to ride I did a fair amount of research before choosing a school.Finlow stood out by a mile. The friendly welcome, pretty and immaculate yard and obviously loved horses were instrumental in my choice. The instruction is excellent and geared to the individuals pace.A good choice,I feel!

I have been riding at Finlow Hill for four years! I have riden at numerous riding schools and although some are cheaper the tuition you receive is well worth the money! The last comment seems psychic as i know they have also started a new group lesson where booking a block of lessons works out at a discounted rate you should give them a call to find out more!!

Hey love you guys and horses at Finlow but have to be honest prices are too high. you really are catering for the alderley and wilmslow set and us other locals cant afford you. Why not offer some courses with a discount!

Finlow hill stables is an excellent riding school, I'm 13 years old and have made loads of friends my own age. The teachers are really nice and they hold lots of shows, many of which I have taken part in. I have had my pony there for 3 years and been riding there for an extra 3 years, overall I have been at Finlow Hill for 6 years. Very good value for money. The horses are well kept and customers are treated with the upmost respect. Very child friendly and I wouldn't go anywhere else!Good facilities.

Absolutely wonderful place to ride, didn't ride here for long due to medical conditions, but for the few months I was there, I really enjoyed it. The staff were so helpful and pleasant, instructors had real knowledge and explained everything in detail that you didn't understand, a real can do attitude but not forcing you to do anything, also taught you all individually (in a group lesson) as well as just throwing commands out. Horses were very well kept and treated nicely. Also a great value for money, whether it was group lessons or one to one. Couldn't fault this place as I've been to quite a few riding schools, and nothing compares to this place, would defiantly recommend Finlow Hill to any rider!

Finlow Hill Stable Is a extremely child friendly facility, I've had my pony on livery their for about 3 years now and i have been riding since i was 7. I used to go to Mobily Riding school this school was the worst riding school i had ever been to and the staff were nowhere near as kind, friendly and helpful as Finlow. When you arrive you are greeted and told what pony you are on immediately. During the lessons the teacher is very simply and happy throughout the whole lesson. I hope other people have had such a good experience like me. x Love From Scotti Lover xxx

Finlow Hill is set in a beautiful area with views across Cheshire, near to the Edge at Alderly with its woods.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and obviously love the horses and ponies in their care, with low staff turnover.
I've been riding side-saddle at Finlow for a long time, after being ill and having great muscle wasting I felt unsafe riding astride, and side-saddle gave me the security to carry on riding. Now my health has improved I also ride astride but I love my riding a-side!
I really like the horse that carries side-saddle, we've known each other a long time now! He's well schooled and forward going.
If anyone fancies trying side-saddle I would reccomend Finlow Hill, and the side-saddle instructer Mr. John Clarke.

My riding has really come on since starting lessons at Finlow. I am encouraged to ride more challenging horses, and push myself on.

Finlow Hill had been recommended to us, so we gave them a ring . We had my daughters name added to the waiting list as sundays were fully booked at this particular time. We only had to wait a few weeks. My daughter rides on a sunday morning and is thrilled with the tution, the horses and the instuctor. The staff could not be more welcoming. The facilities are out standing. I watch each week with a hot drink from the vendor. There is plenty of seating for spectators. The stables are beautiful and the horse are very well looked after.
We did have a horse on loan which we let go and the end of the loan.So we are thrilled that Finlow Hill has filled a great hole that was left.Which I am greatfull for. My daughter is now taking part in BHS stage one which she is really enjoying.
I would recommend Finlow Hill to any one wanting riding lessons or hacks out.

My name is Rebecca, and I am 8 years old.
I like it when Leanne teaches me jumping.
The school is really good fun, because everyone is friendly.
During my lesson I do trotting, jumping and sometimes cantering.
Finlow Hill Stables is great.

Finlow Hill is by far the best stables I have ever been to. Not only are the staff friendly and welcoming but they have increased my confidence massively. A delicate balance between support and a "get on with it" attitude is fabulous - five stars to all! I have learnt so much and am so glad I found Finlow!
