I have had my cover with 3XD for around 17 years now, I've contacted about 3 claims/potential claims and every time they've been first class. I also work as a broker and have recommended to many people over the years, frequently people give me great feedback about the service from the company and the claims process. I've had countless people asking to change away from other providers following claims experiences and through 17 years I've always recommended 3XD with confidence and as I say had numerous clients feedback about them being happy with the customer service / claims procedure. Claiming can always be stressful, people have a damaged home, or lost property and the industry uses loss adjusters across the board. I've encountered several instances where people have been defrauding insurance companies, so there is a line between looking after good clients and protecting themselves against dishonest people.. in my experience, and my clients, 3XD manage this balance well.

I have used 3XD Insurance for over ten years now, both for my own property and as a landlord. They are extremely efficient and have always been competitive on price. You always hope you never have to use your insurance company but on a couple of occasions I have had to make a claim. The claims were dealt with efficiently and effectively without too much questioning. I recommend 3XD without reservation.

Having extended house I needed to ensure that all of the property was covered. got straight through on the phone to an admin lady, who took all of the details and rather than putting me on hold, called me back. was called back within 15 minutes with an answer. excellent, friendly yet professional service. highly recommended.

““Loyal 15yrs! Diabolical Customer Service””

3XD INSURANCE Buildings, Contents, Energency Legal - everything after 15yrs no claims...Tried to claim but ended up not bothering as apalling service. Very, very and very POOR - don't do it. Called the emergency number 2hrs:30+ to answer - mains water leak 990 ltrs per hour. Sent wrong type of plumber who could not find the leak as it was underground and needed a specialist [which i told them it did]. Then had to claim on main policy as 'apparently' Trace and Repair comes under that policy even though I had £1k cover on emergency and it doesn't affect no claims - clearly trying to get to break no claims - I was already paying £400+ per annum. Again very poor on main policy line - they use a claims handling company who are atrocious. anyway 4 weeks having to turn water on and off at boundary stopcock due to trying to save water leaking under the house = could be washing away the footings after all... but they don't care. 4 weeks of bucket showers, bucket shave   In short ended up paying for a water main myself as fed up with these nerds as they don't know the meaning of customer service and the customer services manager is a real jerk - very un-professional so please don't touch with a barge pole. 3XD you have lost out on recommended business in the region of 4500 plus employees in my organisation so yor loss ..!

“Loyal customer for years! Atrocious customer service! ”

Engineer said he’d been to the job and hadn't. We are without heating and hot water for 2 days now and have just been cut off a call after we questioned why we are being told we’d have to wait a further 48 hours for someone to come out! Weve been a customer for years and pay for 24 hour callou….but somehow 72 hours is an acceptable amount of time to wait??!!

“Unbelievable! They have been taking my money for over...”

Unbelievable! They have been taking my money for over two years when I tried to make a small claim the customer service is atrocious. I had to call back so many times, each time what seemed like a schoolgirl would take her time to ask me the same questions repeatedly then put me on hold for ages And then cut me off. I would never in a million years recommend them to anyone! Absolutely disgusted with their customer service, I’m cancelling my direct debit with immediate effect.

“What a shocking company”

Avoid this company, if you ever have to make a claim you have to make numerous calls, expect to be cut off, this company is not fit for purpose, I wish I read the reviews before taking out insurance with them, I have now cancelled and would never recommend them.

“What a fiasco”

I can't find words that can explain my experience, after making a claim with 3XD for redundancy. I am now well into my 4th month, and still no sign of dealing with my claim. They have used every delaying tactic known to man/woman. They have promised to return phone calls and never have, non of my emails are ever acknowledged until I send another to follow up, keep well away, or you will regret it. Am at my wits end with them.

“Worst company to claim with. Dangerous and terrible...”

Sunday Boiler failed to work, no power to boiler and fuse box tripped. Called immediately for emergency call out as it is -2 degrees outside and indoor temp is 8 degrees. I have a 1 year old so it is urgent we restore heat and hot water. They said someone would come out on Monday day between 9am and 6pm. They attempted to cancel, not standing by their 24hr call out time frame. Multiple calls later, they managed to get someone to the house by 23:50 on Monday night. Diagnosis Water Pump not working. Fuse had blown due to an internal leak damaging the water pump. To get the boiler working, the engineer put the boiler in a 'service' mode to keep the pump running and put a 13amp fuse instead of a 3 amp fuse as the fuse kept blowing. Engineer said this will work for a couple of days but we need to come back to replace the water pump and the fuse urgently. It is now 1 week later. Nothing is fixed, boiler making some horrible noises, vibrations from the boiler felt through out the house. 1 year old as well as us unable to sleep. 3XD Ltd now refusing to replace the water pump although the engineers report says otherwise. 1 week I've been left with a potential fire hazard and a boiler that is struggling to keep going. After hours on the phone, waiting on hold all week too only to be told that they now refuse to do anything. Do not use these cow boys. They will give you the run around and treat you like rubbish.

“worse claim experience in my life.”

We had a claim that after six months is still not resolved. You can never speak to anyone in authority. They have held us to ransom over the policy excess after six months and innumerable phone calls they have finally started on doing the work only to say nothing will happen till the excess is paid. This is an appalling company i would advise everyone to avoid this company. I have rated one star as there is not the option for a negative value.

“Horrific experience ”

I took out Mortgage Payment Protection with 3XD who use another company called Jubilee to deal with claims and they are horrific. They will go to great lengths not to pay out. My claim is straightforward but they have frustrated it throughout, delaying every single part of the process. Do not use under any circumstances!!!!

“Worst company ever”

We were taken to court by our neighbours. We had legal cover on our house policy. At first they would not help us but then we provided further proof and they agreed to cover us but only from that point even though nothing had changed. They wanted to us to go with their Solicitors however we were two months from going to court so would not have been ideal for lots of reason one being our Solicitors had been dealing with the case for six months. We then had to sign their terms and agreements which unknown to us meant by the end of it they wouldn’t actually pay up it left them with get out clauses. We had to sign it in case we didn’t win. We did win but they would not pay out and we were left with a big bill. Separately, sorting out the land registry they had agree to pay up to a sum which again they said they would not pay. It was only through the complaints procedure they agreed to pay’fir goodwill’ Don’t touch this company, pay the money and go somewhere trustworthy.

“Poor service ”

In my opinion this is the worst insurance company i have dealt with, i am in discussion with the financial ombudsman about them just now. Poor staff and communication when you can eventually get hold of them. They make their claims division extremely hard to deal with, this may sound like somebody with a grudge because of a claim that hasnt gone through, totally not the case, they have questioned my integrity and lied about conversations we had, they had no management to speak to, or so they said, i would not advise anyone to take insurance out with this company.

“Would never recommend contents insurance ”

Am afraid I have nothing good to say about this company. In my opinion the claim process is designed to find an excuse not to pay out on claims made. Made a claim for the very first time for a fridge freezer which cut out when having a power cut. Every time we went to plug back in and switch on after that it blew the circuit in main fuse box. Engineer sent out by company to investigate and reported that this was probably done through wear and tear, even though he could not confirm this as every time he tried to switch it on the fuse blew in house fuse box. Didn't even get a tool out of his bag as he couldn't fault find and guessed what the fault might be. An absolute joke, and the company had no problem in hiding behind that report as it meant they didn't have to pay out. Told me that I need to get an independent engineer out to prove it wasn't wear and tear. As for customer service....no comment as I hate leaving negative comments on reviews so just state the facts.

“Very poor customer service ”

Tried to claim for leaking flat roof. Inspector checked around house back of radiators to see if we had painted behind. Said this was to see if we maintained the house to a good standard Said we hadn't maintained roof when was you last up there to check. I am 78 when does he think that was going to happen. Disgusting manners came with the attitude of not accepting claim.

From the first call everything was explianed clear that was not making cliam and only want to make sure what goes out on direct debit I mean monthly you pay for service would make any different to you as only coverd for a number which is for building insurance covers for call out and pay maximum which you need to pay any way so only cliam if its not you're fault but everyone that was in with the process best thing to do it when you have to or have good look at terms and condition seek help from team who can

“WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER”

We made a claim two weeks ago,since then we have made several phone calls each time we receive a different answer to the same question. There seems to be no single process.On first contact we were not advised any documentation was required a second phone call informed us we did a third we did not a fourth we did. An information letter was promised within 5 days,no receipt as yet.We asked for an email to expedite the issue at the time.This apparently contravenes procedure.After the 5 days we rang and they said an email would be sent to update us.It was I am dispatching the documentation required as we speak.For it to be reviewed ? I asked about a timescale as to when the claim would be resolved but the lady said she was unable to indicate how long it would take. There was no single explicit process to deal with the claim. Little or no empathy was shown and communication from the claims team was poor. We have still received no paper communications at all. This was not a huge claim. I do wonder what happens with a large claim? Elderly customers would not cope with the process
