This is a solid, well made piece of equipment that is probably the best currently available for giving the average person a solid base to an exercise regime.
It is not too bulky and conversion between the two modes is very straightforward, if just a little imprecise. It relies on a swivelling bolt to lock it into place, but tightening too much in the rower layout and it raises the seat off the ground. Once you are aware of this, it is not an issue.
Also, you need to remember to remove the wire from the back of the monitor before converting from a cycle; otherwise you wonder why you can't get it off, so it is fortunate I am a gentle and careful person when t comes to such things (if it doesn't come easily, it must be me doing something wrong philosophy...).
The only other tiny criticism is that the pedals of the rower can interfere with pedalling the cycle if at the wrong angle, so need to be kept out of the way. I use their own straps to do this.
As there are two modes, it is easier to keep up the regime because it is not too boring doing the same thing repeatedly.
Also, the information the monitor provides adds to the number of possible chosen goals (time, distance, calories...).
Initially, I thought the levels of resistance might not go high enough. Don't kid yourself! Unless you are super-fit, 30 minutes on level 4 at a reasonable pace is very hard work. I think level 8 would be cardiac arrest inducing!!!

I bought mine from nextdayfitness and it arrived within 24 hours. I also saved over £190 compared to other sites. This bit of kit is excellent for an all round workout, highly recommended
