“Crown non-drip emulsion - very poor”

The reviews bear out my own experience of using Crown non-drip emulsion. I have been DIY'ing for the best part of 50 years and take pride in making a good job, taking a lot of care in preparation and using quality brushes. I haven't used a Crown paint for several years - but I still have the paint which I use for touching up odd marks and it is superb. However the stuff I bought recently is almost worse than useless. I cannot get a finish free of brush marks and streaks and there is no way it will cover anything in one coat. I am using one of the off white colours (chosen because it was an almost perfect match for the surface I was repainting)and I find it almost impossible to work with. It is hard to apply, impossible to brush out, and produces a lousy finish altogether. No wonder B & Q are handing out a free tin for every one you buy !

I now have to prepare the surface all over again and find a decent paint to use. I am not particularly amused....
