Myself and wife got married in July 2012 and have two young children aged 1 and 3 we decided to go Butlins for our honeymoon cause we would not want to leave our kids and going abroad to an exotic location is not fun for young kiddies! Upon arrival we couldn't check in to our room for another hour but we knew this so we wandered on site to waste time, the entertainment is excellent for children how ever my daughter didn't have much to do as she's only one oldest daughter loved bob the builder world and the shoes for children the food on resort is pricy so if you go minehead then go to morrossons or tescos just down the road or macdonalds outside of resort i have to say finguins was excellent food at good value yummy chips we went in the sun and moon pub which was good for breakfast but came to £18 for 2 breakies we could have bought eggs bacon and sausages and mushrooms cooked our selves for £5 but we where happy to pay that as it was our last day treat :D as our children are young we only stayed in the evening shows for an hour before kids where ready for bed that was fine though cause me and the wife watched a film with a takeout butlins is a great family fun place beats going abroad this is def good family fun
my holiday tips to fellow first time butlins familys are
*dont shop in spa on resort over priced
*dont buy the grocery pack offered on butlins website its £23 and worth only £15 and can be bought in tesco cheaper
*childrens packs for arivel billy packs very expensive at £20 each not worth it
stay away from pizza hut on resort £18 for one pizza yikes
charactor lunches are £20 a adult very expensive
eat at finguins excellent food
so over all expensive but worth every penny for squeal delight of little ones not really good for young babys
