Wildmoor Spa and Health Club, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire

Completely shocked and appalled, after paying for my son and his girlfriend to have a spa day , they proceeded to let them in signing in with date of birth , to later on being allowed one treatment to then refuse his girlfriend for being 17 to have a facial as her birthday treatment but yet let them back into spa , confused as me ?? As previously teaching hair and beauty at a college , minors are under 16 , but there are not age limits on treatments.The venue however may have an age limit , but you can give written permission. Nothing was asked , required, flagged when booked or when arrived filling out paperwork to day entrance , but they will not refund the birthday girls treatment yet allowing them back in . Slighty complexed as is your terms and conditions . Also when booking treatment it asked if I’m over 18 ,yes I am personally, NO treatment went ahead , do you think that’s fair ??? Overall an awful first time experience being left in a treatment room for 15 mins then being told treatment won’t go ahead , you even commented by email that your not sure if your to blame yet refuse refund .

I was a member for less than a month in 2012, due to a change in circumstances I left the area to move 200 miles away, after speaking to my trainer and one of the many management team I was told that as I hadn't been a member for very long and that I could leave without any financial penalty.

After a year I have been inundated with debt collector phone calls and threats of court action and promise of a CCj against me.

Looks like I will be going to court as they have no record of the conversation or even being a member and have passed on all my details for debt recovery!

If you are a member (don't be) and have to leave and are also promised that there won't be any consequences....get it in writing!!!!

They say one thing to your face and then ignore what they say themselves!

I am a member of Wildmoor Gym and have been so for almost three years. When I originally took up membership it was a different club to now the fees were expensive but justified by the exclusivity of the club and by the client le. The surroundings are very nice and the club is well presented.

In the last 12 months things have changed and gaining more members has obviously become important with regular open weekends and other offers such as no joining fee etc. There does not appear to be an upper limit on member numbers.

The Problem is is that the gym is not large and at peek times the machines become congested and the weight machines are monopolised by a few (common gym problem), if the gym was twice as big for the present membership it might be about right.

The classes are limited and governed by the availability of the regular instructors classes are often cancelled. The type of class is clearly governed by what the instructor wants to do and when they want to do it and less so by member demand.

Wildmoor is presently the best gym in the Stratford upon avon area and they seem to take advantage of that. I live further away and have an option which I will be taking in the New Year, the value is just better.

Wildmoor would still be great for a Spa Day though having really good facilities for that.
