I Bought These Headphones As A Low Priced Replacem

I bought these headphones as a low priced replacement for my old, broken ones. I also look at product reviews before buying to see what other people thought / experienced with the product. The reviews for these headphones were generally favourable and were convincing enough to buy them, so I did.

The critical reviews of the Sennheiser HD201 headphones said that they lacked bass. Not the case at all. The amount of bass in these headphones totally relies on what you're using them for, whether it be music, gaming or TV.

I bought these primarily for general use but gaming aswell. The excellent sound quality made my experience playing games such as Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops very enjoyable. The audio is crisp and very detailed (basically means I could hear a lot of things clearly). 5 stars for sound quality.

The lead length is more than enough and great if you sit a good distance from something such as your TV. Unfortunately, the way these were packaged made the wire really curly and awkward. Also, a 3.5mm to 6.5mm jack adaptor is included for products that dont use 3.5.

The only negative aspect of these items is the comfort. The padded headband is great however the ears weren't as good.

In other reviews, I read that "you could forget you were wearing them" the comfort was that good. This was true for about half an hour to an hour. After that, these headphones started to pain and ache my outer ear. This is either down to (moderate) prolonged use (1 1/2 hours plus) or the fact your ears are right up against the flat, non padded insides. Slight inner padding would be nice. Yes, there is padding round the outside but I found this is for the good outer noise cancellation these Sennheiser's bring.

Images of the HD201's are misleading to the amount of padding there actually is, bear this in mind. You get what you pay for and for £20 I can't really complain, the sound is awesome.

TL;DR / Summary

For cheap headphones the sound quality is astounding. Crisp, clear and very good. The long cable is convenient to have. If your looking to sacrifice some comfort for great audio at a lower price then the Sennheiser HD201's are your headphones.

Those Of You Who Are Looking For Great Music And M

Those of you who are looking for great music and movie audio, I would highly recommend spending a few extra bucks. These headphones are definitely true to Sennheiser's reknown build quality and are very comfortable, but they lack all bass of any kind (In all honesty, they have zero bass). You'll certainly hear the mids and highs well, but thats only 2/3 of a good sound experience. Also, if a song has a lot of bass in it, these headphones will drown out the mids and highs, and sadly the bass still won't come through. If you're considering these for their cheap price and name brand, rather consider something like a Philips set (half the price, double the bass, same comfort and balanced sound). I would not recommend these.

Bought Them After Reading Couple Reviews. At First

Bought them after reading couple reviews. At first a was surprised by low volume sound and minimal bass campared to original in-ear SonyEricsson earphones. But they are comfortable though. Definatly not worth to buy for a 36 bucks. Sorry for my bad english, i am Latvian :)

Sennheiser Hd201 Bought These For Silen

Sennheiser HD201

Bought these for silent rehearsal with my electric upright bass. Was expecting something passable that would be better than cheap in-ears with a little more low-end, however these exceeded all expectations.

The bass response was great and very clear, even at quite high volumes. When mixing in an mp3 with the bass signal the clarity remained.

These are fantastic value for money, i got them for £13 delivered and am seriously impressed. They are very comfortable to wear too.

The only point to mention would be the quite flimsy looking cable coming out of the cans, i suppose they have to cut costs somewhere. Having said that i'd definitely reccommend these if your budget is small but you want something that still gets the job done

I Found The Sennheiser Hd201 Headphones Very Comfo

I found the Sennheiser HD201 headphones very comfortable to wear for long periods as the pads fit over the your ears very well. I use them mainly for listening to music on my ipod at home and the quality is more than enough for this. They perform fairly well at higher volume levels but do not go quite as loud as some of the more expensive models. The bass is very good at high volume and they are very clear at lower volumes as well. If you're looking for a low priced pair of good quality headphones then I would definitely recommend these, however as some people have already said, you would need to spend a bit more money to get DJ quality phones.

I Really Wanted To Spend 200 Quid On A Pair Of Hea

I really wanted to spend 200 quid on a pair of headphones because I wanted the best. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be one manufacturer out there that makes a top-end pair that you can wear all day and not suffer excrutiating pain. These Sennheisers are perfect workhorse cans and I highly recommend them!

These Sennheiser Headphones Are Great Value But I

These Sennheiser headphones are great value but I wouldn't recomend them to anyone who wants them for producing or for anyone who DJ's. They distort quite easily and aren't the loudest of headphones. Good value for the price thouhg if you are just listening to an mp3 player.
