Okay so yes, you don't need an appointment to go to this hairdressers. Great, one perk. My sister and I walked in and asked if they had space for the two of us to have our haircut, and instantly I knew it wasn't going to be a good experience.
The lady at the till just turned around and shouted at some girl on the sofa (who was texting on her phone) to do my sister's hair.
Then I stood there and asked if I too could have my hair done (already insinuated) and again the lady shouted at the next girl sitting on the sofa (also texting) to do my hair. So I got taken over to the seat and was asked what I wanted and then just got sent upstairs. Now, there's a middle floor and a top floor so I was a bit confused as to where I was meant to go. Eventually I ended up at the right place which was at the sinks to get my hair washed.
There were two staff members there and nobody greeted me so I stood there a bit confused. Eventually one of them asked if I was there to have my hair washed, which I was, so she said sit down at a sink. And I said, "what, anywhere?"
May seem like a stupid question, but none of the sinks were clean. One was broken, and the others had dark hairs left in the sink that clearly hadn't been washed from the previous usage.
So I just sat there and this lady came up from behind me and just shoved a towel and a robe thing on me without preparing me and basically pulled my head down to wash it. She then wasn't gentle at all about washing and towelling and I was feeling very unhappy at this point.
Then she sent me on my way to the 'stylist' who I found sitting at her station, and guess what, she was on her phone.
So I sat there and the lady didn't brush my hair, just started cutting. She didn't do it in sections, just the whole lot. She then blow dried it without any heatproof spray and that made me mad... Petty, but true. Then after it was dry she asked me where my parting was and then recut to suit that... Not how the normal experience of having it cut.
Yes it as extremely quick but what? I felt like I was being mocked. Then she didn't talk to me the entire way through, then suddenly asked me have I watched a film lately. Odd.
I did not like this hairdressers one bit. It was too rushed. It was dirty. The staff were either chatting to each other loudly and about topics that we shouldn't hear, or, sitting down and snacking on crisps whilst being on their phone.
I don't get the place. I don't like it. And I definitely will not be going back.
The customer service was awful. Hated it.
