I have always felt a bit of trepidation when having my hair cut, especially as I have become older. Entering a salon which is usually the domain of the young, and sometimes bizare can be quite daunting, and although I am only 53, the last time I visited a salon 2 years ago I could not wait to get out. I felt I was totally out of control of what I wanted, and walked out, only to run home and burst into tears, not only at what my hair looked like, but the money I could ill afford to waste. So [name removed] had a bit of a challenge with me,what can I say, she rose to the challenge above and beyond, from the moment I walked in I felt comfortable, my wishes were listened to, and my hair was great, [name removed] made me feel comfortable throughout the whole experience, she ensured what she was doing was what I wanted, and advised me if she felt a slight change would suit me better, and she was of course right. I would highly recomend this salon, and I will be going back myself. Thankyou Spargo.

Spargo is the best hairdressers i've ever been too! Excellent colourists took me from BLACK to BLONDE in a healthy and reasonable way!!! Absoloutely loved it! :) Really friendly and polite staff always make you feel welcome!

Have been using Spargos now for quite a while now on a recommendation from a friend and I cannot fault them. This is most definately a salon that puts their customers first. The staff are 1st class and you can see that customer service Is a priority . If you are not happy with your current hairdressers give them a try you will not be disappointed, This salon has a very friendly ,welcoming atmosphere with very professional staff, and serve up a great cup of coffee. Well done as. good customer service Is not always easy to find. Debbie.

Always look forward to my couple of hours of being pampered at Spargo. Coat is taken the minute you walk in the door, drinks offered and then shown by the stylist straight to your seat in the salon. Never kept waiting which is a huge bonus given how hectic life is. The stylist always spends time talking to you first and has a wealth of knowledge re colour and styling, I am never disappointed.

I have been going to Spargo for years and would never go anywhere else. Brilliant staff, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Although Toni usually cuts my hair (she is great), when she has not been available I have booked with Ian, Stacey, Red and others. Whilst it is always a little daunting when your regular hairdresser is not available, not so at Spargo. I have never come out less than really happy. My three daughters also use Spargo, so a bit of a family tradition.

Fantastic hairdressers, friendly staff who make you feel welcome. You really feel valued as a customer. I have been having my hair done by Ian the owner before he opened Spargo's and I would not go anywhere else, as I know I can trust him to do my colour and cut and his staff ensure that whilst you are there you have a great experience by ensuring you have a drink, magazines to read and then they spoil you with a wonderful head massage. If you are struggling to find a hairdressers you like , you should definitely go to 'Spargo's' because you will not be disappointed :-)

After trying several Brentwood High Street hairdressers, I have been going to visit Kate at Spargo regularly for about 4 years now. Kate is really helpful with her practical style tips and hints, and has a real passion for hair. She always gives me amazing advice and I completely trust her with my hair, I let her do what she thinks is best. I always receive compliments about my latest hair style and even when I have been too busy to fit in time for a haircut, the style grows well. 4 Following my recommendation, friends of mine also go to Spargo and are regulars too. I also like Spargo's appointment text reminder which is free and automatic, so I never miss my appointment and can reschedule in good time, if needs be. I also like the after work hours service for convenience and good availability.

Im 58 years old so, as you can imagine, have been to a few hairdressers in my time. Ian, the owner, since taking over the salon has ALWAYS been welcoming and careing to me (and other customers). All the stylists are professional and up-to-date with the latest trends. I'm always happy with the way Amy colours my hair which is quite long and thick. Drying my hair has always seemed to be a problem for stylist but Amy has proved to be the ONLY hairdresser I have ever had who can actually dry my hair perfectly - well done girl. The salon doesn't have the most stylish of surroundings but thats reflected in the prices charged plus the staff are charming and friendly, know what they are doing and are always welcoming and, for me, that is far more important than poncey/plush surroundings, aggressive staff, a naff hairstyle and a fat bill at the end of it. Please don't change SPARGO. p.s. I like the coffee/drink selection too.

For years I've have been searching for a hairdresser and after talking to a friend I was recommended Red at Spargo. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I am made to look and feel a million dollars by the time I leave. I drive past lots of other salons just to go to spargo. I also love that they send me a reminder text when my appointment is due which is really handy when you have a busy life! Why would I want to go anywhere else?

I have only been once to Spargo but I am definetley going back within the next week. They're sooooooo friendly there and everything is so clean and glamorous looking! I was offered a comfortable chair and a beverage straight away and my appointment was straight forward with good conversation throughout. Value for money is brilliant here, I'd recommend to EVERYONE!!

I have been going to Spargo for years, and never come out disappointed. I trust Toni's advice and suggestions without question, and her cut and colours are brilliant. The whole team are friendly and attentive, and it's a fun and relaxed atmosphere - I hope I never have to go anywhere else! :)

I have gone out of my way to travel to this salon for years now. They make you feel very relaxed and welcome. I love the reward system they do and although I normally get to the till and think how much my hair always looks fab so I keep returning. Considering I have paid nearly as much else where when unable to get an appointment here and thought what a waste of money because Ive hated it. Thanks Spargo.

I have been a regular client at Spargo for years, infact i used to go there when they had a previous owner and i have never had any problems whatsoever and always walked out happy. I could give them nothing but praise and after reading the previous review, why would you leave it 3 years to complain?? Anyway, I have recommened Spargo to my friends and they say the same as me. 5 STARS SPARGO - YOU ARE DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT!

I called here when looking for a wedding hair stylist. Very helpful on the phone - offered me a FREE consultation appointment to discussed what I wanted to get a quotation price, agreed. I took time off work, arrived to find no appointment had been put in the book, they managed to 'squeeze' me in. The very moody girl spent most of the time showing me pictures of what she did at Jodie marshes wedding rather than spending anytime asking what I waned. I told her what I wanted in the end (half up half down) only to be told everyone has this and she ONLY does what she thinks is best and as everyone has half up half down I should have something different.... I expressed I WANTED half up half down and she proceeded to experiment with my hair for ideas (I wasn't expecting this) and then put my hair up in it's entirety, it wasn't what I wanted and agreed with my friend who was with me, didn't suit me. However despite this, she insisted it did and the said she would post out a price for me. Post?? Why not tell me now while I was there, it's a hair style.... And one shed already just done in 15 minutes, so surely shed have a price already - not that I wanted it doing after the poor service. When I turned to leave, the receptionist took my address for the postal quote to be sent to, AND THEN proceeded to charge me £60 for my FREE consultation (which I might add they forgot to book anyhow!). I argued with them but they rudely denied anything about a free consultation. I was disgusted. The service here all round is extremely poor and I would highly recommend avoiding it. This was actually 3 years ago and to this day I am still receiving text messages from them all the time with offers. I have text them back, email and written to the shop to demand they stop contacting me, but guess what, 3 years on and I am STILL getting canvasing messages. They also kept sending me an invoice for wedding day work right up until 1 week before my wedding saying unless I pay my deposit my wedding day booking will be cancelled!!! ...considering I never booked them in the first place they were clutching at straws thinking I was going to book with them!!!? Poor poor service. Deal with at your peril! I thought they might have shaped up since it was 3 yes ago, but by reading these reviews I'll leave you to make your own mind up!

walked into the salon to be greeted by a very friendly receptionist, and a warm welcoming atmosphere. been to many hairdressers before and was made to feel like they were doing me a favour,where in this salon i felt welcome. i was booked in for a colour but wasnt sure on what i wanted as i havent had good advice in the past. the stylist was very helpful and sat down and took alot of time advising me what would suit my face shape and skin complexion. a choice was made between myself and the stylist and also the manager who was brought over to comfirm the decision and he agreed totally with the stylist, which i thought was a nice little touch as it made me feel even more confident in my own stylist. i was very impressed with the service and how lovely it was being offered a choice of drinks and magazines. having my hair washed at the basin was absolute heaven and had a real treat of a lovely relaxing head massage. the last part of the hairdressers is always daunting for me as feel pressured to buy lots of products, but spargo didnt make me feel like that. i had an excellent treatment and when my hair was cut and finished i felt AMAZING!!! thanked my stylist and happily payed the bill as was worth every penny. i walked out the salon with my head held high. will definately be going back as have never had such lovely compliments about my hair. i have found the perfect hairdressers.....Spargo Thankyou..u are FANTASTIC!!! I had a consultation here and all seemed well. I was red wanting to go blonde. The girl who gave me my 2minute consultation explained two options to me, these being colour correction (which I knew noting about, but sounded good) or go through the orange stage. I chose the colour correction as I was assured it would not damage my hair and I would leave blonde. This is where the tale turns...After hours of treatment and finally an end product, I look in the mirror and tell the stylist who also happened to be the girl who conducted the consultation. I said "its frazzled" my only reply was to leave conditioner on for about 10 minutes after I shower. She could clearly see I was very upset with my ginger frazzled hair (very odd don't you think when I was told my hair would be blonde and it would not ruin th condition of my hair) I got to the till and they wanted to charge me so much money (im talking hundreds) for damaging my hair. The manager was rude and made me cry. I told them time and time again I hate it, they told me it was my fault for using home dye's!!! can you believe it!?! He basiclly bullied me into paying and didn't even offer to correct my horrible hair. Instead I got offered a free spa treatment somewhere. I would need more than a spa treatment to make me feel good about this really TERRIBLE hair. I am a mother of four and really wanted to feel good about myself after not long giving birth to my 4th child. I like many other mums get very upset about my appearence after childbirth, so much so I lost alot of confidence in myself. This was meant to be a new me but sadly, I feel worse. I am currently trying to have my money returned, I would like them to pay for the cost of another salon to correct there mistake's. I would like to remind you all that under the supply of goods and services act 1984 any service provider would have to supply you with reasonable CARE and SKILL. This did not happen in my case. I shall post another review,and let you all know the outcome. This way we can give Spargo the chance to redeem themselve's for making a grown woman who has confidence issue's cry, and lose even more confidence in th process. If you are looking at this spargo, I suggest you do the right thing. Also appologize for your appauling behaviour towards me.
