“Non-existent custome service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ladytulip on 08/10/2016

I originally bought this product 2 years ago and loved it. I misplaced it recently so re-ordered on 7/1/16. At the end of July I hadn't received my merchandise and thought that was a long enough time for the product to come. On 8/9/16 I emailed originalqstick.com informing them that I hadn't received my merchandise inclusive of the invoice for them to reference. No response. Then on 8/19/16 I followed up again asking them to respond within 3 days if not I would call my CC company to dispute the charge. CRICKETS! I know it is only $14, but it's the principle of things that I write this review. If you are lucky enough to receive your merchandise, I think you will like what it does. But if you don't, GOOD LUCK getting a response.

I thought this to be a scam. Boy was I wrong! This thing pulls hairs by the dozen NO PROBLEM - Pretty neat, not painful when compared to waxing and geez, however thought if this is a goddamn genius!

“Great type of hair remover, but I found a better version”

★★★★☆

written by on 23/07/2014

I've tried a number of this type of facial hair remover and this is the one that has worked best. I've been using it for a few months and have found it to be easy and effective for me. I have used it all over my face, with great care avoiding eyebrows and eyelashes. I adjusted quickly to the initial stinging and it hasn't left any irritation on my sensitive skin. I like that I can use it as often as I like and after a few times of use, it seems some of the hair hasn't grown back. I focus mostly on my upper and lower lips, and use tweezers for the more stubborn ones that are thick and deep. My hair is dark. I've used bleaching creams that weren't effective for very long, plus were irritating to my skin. I also tried waxing which caused redness, dryness, irritation and pimples. I resolved to tweezing but (at age 57), I have too much facial hair to tweeze every one. It had become my latest retirement project! This facial hair remover has been a blessing to my rather simple primping routine. That routine is especially simple now! I don't usually write reviews, but if this can be of help to one woman it will have been worth it. I know there are other women like myself who don't go to spas or spent much time in salons or reading beauty magazines to learn what tools and techniques are available, yet we also desire to look as attractive as we can.

Saw the TV commercial and bought the 2-pack for $30. Must say that it's the best as seen on TV purchase I've ever made! Works like a charm!!!

Rarely use my tweezers. I keep a Qstick in the car and in my cupboard in the washroom. Never miss a hair and always get super smooth skin after hair removal. I can see the white hair follicles after each usage. Will be buying more on LivingSocial or Groupon again and stock them for future usage. (They'll last about 3-4 months IMO)

Love the original QStick! I use it all the time now. It's a part of my routine and outpaces my tweezer by a big stretch! Have bought quite a few for friends and family. They all agree that this is an ingenious device.

“Low quality material! Pinched and hurt”

★★☆☆☆

written by JulianneG on 29/04/2014

I have used epilation tools and most of them are really good. I was a bit disappointed by the experience with Q stick. The tool worked well for about a week but then I noticed that storing it in a dry place (drawer) in the bathroom was a bad idea. It started to not work as well and pinched. I got 2 of these on sale from LivingSocial but had the same experience with both. Apparently the tool has small rust patches that develop over time if you keep it in a damp place like bathroom. Considering that none of the other things in my bathroom rust, it comes down to poor workmanship.

“Q Stick does what it says”

★★★★☆

written by on 26/01/2014

The Q Stick Hair Removal Tool does what it says it will, which is a pleasant surprise. I couldn't give it 5 stars because the process does sting a bit, but with practice and technique, that can be diminished. I find that, especially on the upper lip, keeping the skin taut is imperative! Also, applying firm pressure immediately after will lessen any redness and help prevent bumps. Continued use does seem to inhibit hair growth, another plus. All in all, I think this was a worthwhile purchase and a very good value for the money.

“Just Snapping Hairs?”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 31/12/2013

I was sooo excited the first couple of times I used this. It does hurt a bit, but less and less the fewer hairs there are to be grabbed by the spring mechanism - and it's kind of a fun/addictive little action. I've been using it on my upper lip, where I only have fine, very blonde hair but sometimes I get paranoid foundation sticks to that area and creates a shadow (dear god no!). So I just used it and went to inspect my face under a very bright light. To my dismay I saw tiny stubs of blonde hairs - the q stick seems to have just been breaking the hairs instead of pulling them out from the root. I may as well have been shaving! This may not be an issue for people with thicker hair however, but definitely check the spring to make sure you can see the roots of the hair are being removed.

“My QStick review”

★★★★★

written by roughdoggie on 07/11/2013

The QStick rocks! I'm a man, and I keep this in the car all the time. I have this issue with shaving "quickly" in the morning, then I am left with annoying stray hairs on my face... I have gone to extreme lengths in the past to remove these before getting to work; such as stopping by a hardware store (was the only thing close to work) and buying a pair of pliers (yes the kind you find in a toolbox) to remove a single strand of hair sticking out on my face (ahh despair, they didn't have tweezers, I checked!) So, long story short, the qstick is a life saver that I keep in my car, and it holds a more important role than my spare tire, I use it daily and it WORKSSSS great! Unlike what the comment below states; it's simple technical logic. The QStick will remove hairs. For anybody and anytime and anywhere. It's mechanically impossible for it not to grab hairs in it's way and remove them by the root. So obviously, anybody having issues using the QStick is giving up too soon. Just roll the handles between your thumb and index outwards (towards the opposite direction of your face, outwards) and against the hair growth. Let me give a more graphic approach, "using the qstick for dummies" style. - hold the qstick with index and thumb (the index is the one right next to the thumb - roll the handles outwards (your right hand should roll the handle clockwise and your left hand should roll the handle counter-clockwise) - while doing this, put the metal part onto your skin, where you want the hair removed. And move against your hair growth ( contrary to when you pet a dog for instance... you want to pet a dog in the direction of his hair growth, or else it would be rough and not enjoyable) well, in this case, you want to go against the hair growth; normally hair on the face will follow gravity and push downwards towards the ground. Thus, you'll need to move the QStick upwards while rotating the handles as explained in the previous bullet point. Yeehaa, apologies for the dumbing down of that tutorial. I just want to help those who obviously can't figure out how to use such an amazing product!

“Flat out doesn't work!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 22/10/2013

I had such high hopes for this, but it doesn't work on any part of my body! It's like rolling a piece of rope up and down your skin. There is zero pain and zero hair removal. What a heap of junk!!

“Yes it works!”

★★★★★

written by Lorla on 21/08/2013

Having hit my 50's I noticed more light fuzz on my face and mustache area. My skin has gotten more sensitive to facial hair removers causing chemical burns. If the cream wasn't left on for at least 6-8 minutes, it would not remove the hair on the mustache area. Waxing was time consuming, messy and if you do not pull off wax strips properly, your skin got irritated. I am here to tell you this simple little device works! Start on an area like your chin till you get used to using it, then advance to the sides of your face or mustache area. I won't say you won't feel the slight pain/tingle of the hair being pulled which is why I say to do small areas at a time. You will get used to it rather quickly. (Certainly no worse than using facial wax!) I did find however that the next day or so, I had some areas on the each side of my face along the jaw that got irritated (where maybe I was not using the device in the correct direction of the hair growth) as it did when I used wax, but that was the only place this happened. I did my whole face and neck while I was watching tv. You don't need a mirror and there is no odor as there was when I was using the "No'No" which burned the hair. I am definitely very very satified! I can't believe something so simple, compact and easy to use actually works! Thank you!

“An instant essential!”

The Q-Stick is far beyond any other tool I have in my beauty drawer; The differences between the Q-Stick and the Tweezer : - Unlike tweezers; the Q-Stick will renove multiple strands of hair at once (and I mean many many!) - You can use the Q-Stick without having to stare in a mirror or the need for precision nabbing! (you can litterally target hairs by regions... Just roll over a few times and you're done. The whole area is sure to be clear of any hairs) - the Q-Stick isn't meant for eyebrow threading, so they say... Personally it's helped me a great deal in prepping before I start tweezing that area! I love my Q-Stick and every one of my girlfriends feel the same way! As an extra kicker, we always get a 2 for 1 deal using their loyalty discount code 'bonus241'!

“Loving it as a GUY.”

★★★★★

written by dahg8tcubix on 08/06/2013

OMG this works just like threading. It may hurt a little but it get's the job done. I hope that I don't have to shave for a while. I normally just let my upper lip and chin hair grow for a week or 2 before I shave. I'll see how long this works for before I have to do it again. The Qstick gets the roots out, it's easier to do if you shave first and do it a day or 2 after. leave the hair about 1-2 mil long any longer it will hurt more because you'll be pulling more hair at once.

“Will remove hair, but results are not worth time & price”

★★☆☆☆

written by Kathryn406 on 13/05/2013

I purchased the Qstick through a living social deal. I usually wax or pluck to remove unwanted upper lip hairs. I decided to give this a try because of how time consuming plucking each individual hair can be, and waxing can irritate my skin if done too often. However, I did not get the desired or advertised results with this product. First, the Qstick does grab the hair but I am not sure that it is actaully ripping the hair out from the root. Rather, I think a lot of the hairs are just being "cut". Also, using this product IS NOT painless as some of the reviews would suggest. It hurts more than plucking and way more than waxing. I personally will not use the product again. It does work to some degree, but other hair removal methods are preferrable. For me, anyway.

“I ordered the QStick because, as I get older my beauty...”

★★★★★

written by MasterCoach on 01/05/2013

I ordered the QStick because, as I get older my beauty is a major concern and like many other I tend to find unwanted hair under my chin area. From the first try I was very pleased with the result. Moreover, I love that it removes the hair from the root, due to the fact it takes longer for the hair to grow back. Furthermore, it also grows back thinner / finer. I hope that any other women, like me, that are getting up there with age and beauty try the QStick. I had to stop by to thank the people at originalqstick.com ; you guys are Amazing!

“Qstick is my go-to for getting rid of hair!”

written by stayingvintage on 30/04/2013

I didn't know what to do to get rid of the peach fuzz on my face. Shaving was out of the question. Tweezing is mainly for the eyebrows.. so I was searching online and found the QStick! It gets the job done wayyy better than waxing or tweezing and anything else I've tried!

Simply amazed with this little device! Myself and my 3 daughters use the QStick as part of our routine. Now we just need a QStick holder to put them in, next to our toothbrushes! We're pressuring my hubby into getting one for himself too :P
