First impressions when walking into the clinic was its clean and beautifuly laid out. I Had my treatment with a lady and she was wonderful and very professional. She listened well to my needs and took them into cosiderstion. My treatment was not rushed and felt as relaxing as it should be. There was nothing I didn't like from start to finish. The Manager is very helpful and welcoming. I will defiantly go again...!

I have had the most pointless and shortest microdermabrasion sessions at this salon! Staff do not know much about the treatments and engage in banal chitchat. The sessions are too short and the intensity is too low. Having done similar procedures elsewhere, the treatment at this salon feels like a baby's attempt at stroking a face. Needless to say, I will not be going back there. I would rather flush my money down a loo!

Fab results after only 5 IPL treatments. Thank you to the girls for making me feel at ease during my IPL treatments. I had been very nervous but I found the staff to be very professional and they totally put me at ease! Have recommended to all the girls in the office!!

I purchased a course of 6 IPL for upper lip from groupon. My first 3 treatments were pointless as the machine was kept on low intensity and I only got a handful of charges from machine. On my 4th I mentioned I thought it was disappointing so the machine got turned up and I got double the amount of charges. That happened on my 5th also. Then on my final one the machine got turned up higher and I had about triple the amount to my first one. After leaving after my final one my face was swollen and noticeably burnt which then blistered!! When I rang to complain the manager was extremely defensive and tried blaming hormones, sun exposure, medication and anything and everything apart from Biothecare negligence. I had not been exposed to the sun, am not on any medication and it was not my time of the month so all the excuses she threw out me were void. Horrendous place . Horrendous manager. You are better off paying more and getting a decent service.

I have been coming to Biothecare Estetika Cardiff for nearly a year and have had IPL hair removal and a course of Skin rejuvenation treatments. The girls made me feel at ease and at no point did I feel pressured into buying. I tried two treatments first for £45 before deciding on buying my facials and I have to say the results are fabulous! I have also recommended my niece who has been having microdermabrasion and it has helped with her acne scarring. Thanks girls!!

The contract the make you sign should pressures you into paying by DD each month, even if you are not happy with the treatment and the service is appalling. The IPL treatment that I have had so far is rubbish. Other people that I have spoken to have also said the same.

I bought some treatments from groupon. The treatment is meant to be 30 min but they always finished early. On my last session I was late to my appointment and they cancelled my appointment even though I was in the salon! I do not recommend this salon to anyone!

I pre-paid for a package of 10 facial treatments in the Cardiff branch which were supposed to help with plumping, re-generating and tightening the skin. BIG MISTAKE!!! I was assured that the products were safe, although the consent forms contained the usual warning of potentially experiencing some mild redness or itchiness. There was no mention of the refund mechanism prior to paying (or after paying for that matter. I paid £300). I had a reaction to a cream used in the first treatment so I asked the beautician to document this on my file to avoid products with similar chemicals on my skin in any subsequent treatments. She labelled my skin as 'very sensitive'. Unfortunately, the therapists completely ignored the sensitivity of my skin and the notes made on the file and on the third treatment not only they did not take any necessary precautions to ensure that the product would be suitable for my skin (by performing a patch test for example) but they applied a product (glycolic peel) that contained similar chemicals to the first treatment. This was confirmed by their very own dermatologist!! As a result, my entire face broke out in a rash / blisters, redness, severe itchiness and was very sore to the touch and it took about 10 days to get back to normal. Having completely lost trust in these products and the skill of the therapists employed, I have stopped the treatments. But the nightmare is not over. Adding insult to injury, the manager has refused to provide me with a full refund of the 7 treatments that I had not yet taken because apparently that is the policy of the company. I am now pursuing legal action, which is really not something that I expected I would end up doing when I signed up for these treatments. I just wanted to do something nice for myself and it has turned into a nightmare.

Bought package for underarms, bikini, full arms and legs paid upfront for these packages. Service not provided as promised. Problems with staffing, lazy and unprofessional management. When complained rather than listening and improving their service and attitude, blames customer instead! And refuses to give refund!

I bought a groupon deal for this clinic for an IPL deal. The clinic is nice and tidy and trendy. It is based in the City Centre so quite convenient for me. I made my first appointment which included a free patch test and consultation. I was really happy with the consultation from the Beauty Technician who was very professional. I have had 5 sessions now and seen a significant reduction in Hair on the area. I will be going back and buying one of their in-house deals. I hope they decide to start opening on Mondays as that would be perfect for me. I have been happy and satisfied with Biothecare Leicester. The girls are brilliant and love their Gel Manicures too. I would recommend. Thanks.

I signed up to deal via one one of these popular discounted deals website, they were offering a very special offer on the deal so i thought why not let me go for it at the leicester job, the order through this 3rd party website went fine and i got my vouchers and booked an appointment, from then on it was disastrous, turned up first day booked in had got told to pop back another day since they were short staff - this was one annoyance since i took time off work, so i said ok thats fine so rescheduled it for the week after. Went in waited for my first treatment the lady who was dealing with it looked like she had a bad day and had a very rude snotty attitude when starting with my treatment, obviously first time me doing this although reading quite a bit from about hair removal on the internet i wanted to ask the staff some questions of myself, seemed this person who was doing it had no clue whatsoever about hair removal - was she some new member of staff that was simply told to follow instructions? But anyway did my first treatment few days later started suffering some sort of rash on my face area, doctors said it was caused by some reaction by the laser treatment method they used and was told to stop and cease with such treatment to avoid further damage! My advice is before going for laser hair removal please check with your doctor and ensure you deal with a company who knows what you are doing and are not just cowboys
