“Fun”

★★★★☆

written by Anderman on 06/04/2013

This color is fun and easy to use. Because it washes out I use it for funky colors like purple, orange and red. I never expect my home hair color to match the color on the box. There are too many variables. It's just hair.

“Nothing like the shade on box”

★★☆☆☆

written by katrob03 on 04/11/2011

I thought i'd try this as I am fed up with the messy hair colours I usually use which are slowly destroying all my furnishings in my house! So I got off to a good start, the colour being much easier to apply and less messy than my usual choice. That was until I washed it out and what was supposed to be pure light brown was pure dark brown! Not happy but I thought it would get lighter after a few washes but I was wrong, 6 weeks later and ready to put in another colour my hair is still dark brown - not as bad as it was at the start but it has never turned into the lovely light brown shown on the box. All that glitters is not gold so back to the drawing board, the old messy colours I used at least were closer to the shade I want!

“I was very unhappy”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Unhappyliz on 29/09/2011

I'd used the Nice'n Easy Foam in several blonde colours and was always satisfied with the results although I wasn't all that impressed with their Ashe Blonde. However, that was nothing compared with Loreal's Golden Blonde No. 8.3. It came out an unblievably dark colour - almost mid-brown, and very 'flat' looking. I rang the helpline and they said to use a clarifying shampoo to remove some of the colour, which I did but the colour was still the same. Then I used an anti-dandruff shampoo and left it on for ten minutes on dry hair and this, three weeks later, has removed quite a lot of the colour. Also the hot, sunny weather has helped lift the colour. But I'm absolutely sick of keep having to apply the dandruff shampoo and will never use the Lolreal Mousse again. My next worry is that whatever I use next will not come out in the proper blonde colour I want as a result of being applied on this really horrible colour. Liz

“terrible experience”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 18/07/2011

Shook the contents of the bottle and squeezed the middle as instructed but no foam came out, only bubbly runny goop. Washed the product out of hair, had to use both tiny conditioners to cover hair and rinsed. Lifted the towel and noticed dry caked on dye around the scalp. Ewe. Applied own conditioner and scrubbed scalp at sink until icky dried dye came out. Wasn't too fond of the stained ears and forehead either. First time any hair product has done this. Gets even worse after drying hair. Notice hair is now a jet black. The box was labeled "light brown". This morning tried shampooing hair to lighten the shocking shade of black. More color rinsed down the drain but after drying the hair the color was still black. Ugh.

You are not suppose to shake the bottle. That's why it turned out horrible.

“just purchased the new l'oreal hair colour in shade 90...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 30/04/2011

just purchased the new l'oreal hair colour in shade 90 pure light blonde. It was awful right from the start. You apply the mousse and then after you are supposed to keep massaging it to keep it foamy. It felt awful on and dripped some. The colour did not cover the roots no matter how thick and how much i massaged it in. It did however totally ruin my blonde shade into a moussy dark blonde with roots. I did it on a friday night, and cannot get hold of anyone from l'oreal until Monday morning. HOw ridiculous i cant even figure out how to fix it. I should have read the reviews first but it seemed perfect. The only hope i have is that the reviews say the colour fades every day. Here's hoping. I will definitly be calling L'oreal for a complete refund. I dont even have gre y so if you do, and they say perfect grey coverage, dont use it. Karen

“I recently purchased No. 20 Sensual black purely...”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 21/04/2011

I recently purchased No. 20 Sensual black purely because I wanted a less messy application and thought a mousse sounds like the way forward. After using this I can asure you I will NEVER be buying this again as I still have all my greys visible and I only have a few!!! Its sad really because I really had high hopes about this product! See below for plus points as well as negative points based on my experience.

Plus points:

* Very little smell as compared with other colourants
* No drips so less mess
* Only 30 mins application time
* Straight forward instructions for use

Negative points:

* Does not cover Greys at all!!!
* Not enough mousse in one bottle for the whole hair hence it does not look like the foaming picture of the featured model in the instruction!!!

“My natural colour is a deep dark cool brown, but...”

★★★★★

written by on 02/04/2011

My natural colour is a deep dark cool brown, but unfortunately I'm going with (not grey white honestly!!) Even though it's localised it's very visible due to the severe contrast to my own colour.

So I decided I wanted to dye my hair, have never tried it before on my own always worried about the mess. So this product really appealed to me. And true it was easy to apply, wasn't messy or drippy at all and worked reall easy. I used the whole bottle, I've got shoulder length but a lot and very thick hair.

Used the colour 40 pure brown. On the box it is 2 shades lighter than my own but I was warned it usually goes a little darker than expected and didn't want to end up black.

In the end it covered all my whites, gave me a deep dark warm colour with a reddish shine to it. I love it and love the colour. It works fine on brown hair.

I am a licensed cosmetologist, and this product stained my skin and none of my tricks worked to remove it. I have black hair with a little gray, so I wanted to cover it. It put alot of red in my hair.

I really liked the color It gave me, and it didnt last to long, nor not long enough. Too bad I coulndn`t find any copper colours, at least I foun auburn. Everyone thought it was my natural color, until I turned back to blonde.

Carefull! As with all hair dies, this one dries out your hair, mine became wavier after I died it, so now I have wavy hair... xD Im still giving it five stars since i`ve always wanted waves, although I`m not sure if any one else does.

written by on 29/05/2010

This product was good, the colour looked good i used the chill plum on my light brown hair... but the problem was the colour is still on my hair after 4 months and for the first 1 and a half i couldn't wear a white shirt because dry or not the colour would rub off on my shirt it didn't stain but it wasn't a fun experience after all i would not recommend this product unless you want whatever colour you choose to be your permanent colour for the year. oh well lets hope my hair colour comes out.... good luck ladies make the right choice.

“This product looks amazing in my hair. I have tried...”

★★★★☆

written by on 25/04/2010

This product looks amazing in my hair. I have tried three colours so far; electric black, chill plum, and the red one (the name escapes me). The black stayed in for a while, although the red stayed in for quite a while longer. It could have been due to the fact my hair is a reddish brown already. But DO NOT use the Chill Plum! It stayed in my hair for almost two months, and no my hair is not a light brown or blonde either. The odd thing was the colour only stayed in the front of my hair and the back of it was normal, so it looked very strange.
Even though the plum was a bust I do recommend the black and red colours for those with dark/light brown hair.

Hi, I've been contemplating trying the electric black but i'm really afraid that it won't wash out like the other color pulse i've used... Does it work as well as the others? I'm really just experimenting with black to see how it looks over the summer! Thanks!

So I have short dirty blonde hair. Wanting togo CHOCO brown (like stated on the box)...I checked the little boxes on the side. It showed that my hair would go a nice rich brown. NOPE.
After following all the instrutions, rise, yadda yadda... aftr drying out, It looked more like a burnt Carrot Top!!!

Not even a nice copper...no. It`s orange. I`m so frustrated with this damn product. I wash my hair every day now, hoping to get this OUT!!!

(atleast 9 showers later...I am still carrot top)

“I have searched the internet for ways to get this...”

written by CherDG on 24/05/2009

I have searched the internet for ways to get this product OUT of my daughters hair. She has light brown hair and we put in one of the auburn coloured dyes. We have kept track with a chart and she officially washed her hair 21 times this morning.....only to still have auburn colouring on about 3 inches of her roots. The end of her hair has gone back to her natural colour?? I followed all instructions and two of her girlfriends coloured their hair the same day, with different shades that have since washed out completely. I am questioning whether something was wrong with the product I purchased??

Amazing on my blonde boyfriend. He won't color his hair but he will put mousse in, it took so easy on his light locks. It fades slow and looks natural. It added great demission and highlight without being over kill, so easy to touch up! We just added it in small sections though. This LOreal Color Pulse Mousse temp hair color in an easy to use mousse applicator.
