Total Fitness Preston & other branches

Terrible, has continued to go down hill even after the takeover and promise of "substantial funds" has brought nothing other than a lick of paint to a few of the walls.

Half the cardio equipment is on it's last legs and most of the free weights are missing or damaged. Some of the benches are even so bad they aren't even in a safe condition to use anymore.

The air conditioning is never on and the showers are always cold. The staff numbers have fallen and there is only a handful of gym staff on hand. The very obvious cost cutting and cutting corners is shocking.

There is more focus on trying to sell you cheap rubbish supplements or fast food when you are at the gym. The stench of chips and burgers when entering a gym is madness.

I would not recommend joining or even renewing (15 of my friends have already moved). Numbers are falling all the time and when they do even less money is being spent on things like cleaning or botch repair jobs on the equipment.

I would strongly advise anyone to stay away from the total fitness chain.
