It's the same story as many others here - a pretty poor gym with often broken facilities, but it was close to home. I was moving away so I canceled my membership. I did this on the 1st of June and was told that was an adequate month's notice. I cancelled my direct debit.
When July rolled around I got phone calls and emails telling me that I owed DW fitness money. After a number of emails and phone calls, I was told that my cancellation required payment for the month of July also. I very begrudgingly paid this also.
At the end of July they inform me they have NO RECORD of my cancellation, and they require evidence that I moved. I have now been involved in more emails and phone calls than I care to mention. I have debt collectors calling me for more money. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
