“Faults and faults!”

★★☆☆☆

Bought a Hillbilly terrain trolley in 2009. Am now on third potentiometer [one replaced during warranty] and have also replaced several axle pins. All the rivets on the A frame failed and one day on a round I found the lower tube of the frame had become detached altogether from the rest of the frame - lucky I had some long enough elasticated clips in my bag to secure it! Eventually I had to replace all the rivets including those supporting the front wheel assembly with nuts and bolts. This was much a more secure option. I have replaced the front wheel with a domed Powakaddy one with no tyre on it. The tyre on the Hillbilly one wore out very quickly. I now need new tyres on the other wheels but understand such tyres are not available on their own so may have to buy two new wheels [ca £25 each] but am more likely to buy a new trolley [not Hillbilly].
The original handle broke - split underneath where the recessed nuts are. There were no accessories attached to it either - fixed it temporarily with jubilee clips but eventually bought a replacement which so far seems ok.
The clutch on one of the wheels became detached when an axle pin broke. There appeared to be no securing screws on the clutch and there seemed to be no evidence inside the clutch or wheel that there ever had been! I re-attached the clutch with self tappers which seems ok. Can't think of anything else except that the original battery of four years old is still working although showing signs of wear which I can't complain about. At least they got something right!
