I keep getting letters stating 17.01 has been returned from bank stating no direct debit instruction. I tend to pay the account via debit card, usually following receipt of statement. Accounts take monies on the 15th and the statements are not issued until 24th of each month. This is very confusing. I set up a direct debit some time ago. I understand that the Company with whom a direct debit is setup complete the mandate and process the direct debit following completion by the customer, am I right or am I incorrect? This keeps happening and the problem needs to be addressed.
