“Lots of room for improvement with regard to the Cafe”

★★★☆☆

written by stKing464 on 01/08/2017

The two children I took with me to Bridgemere Garden Centre had a wonderful day - the Bouncy Castle, Go-Karts, Diggers, Dinosaur Crazy Golf and Aquarium etc. provided the children with lots of enjoyable things to do and see. The café was the only blot on what would have been a completely perfect day - apart from the rain, of course, but then no-one has control over that - unlike the café, which could use better management. The food prices are high and the soft play area, while a wonderful amenity, was full of children - only 3 of whom had paid the £1.50 to do so (two with me and one child with another person). Older children were jumping off the floating ball activity, which is placed in the under 2 year old area, despite the fact that there were toddlers and babies in there. I agree that it's a parental responsibility to watch their children but in today's world this doesn't happen. Someone needs to keep an eye on the soft play area. Is it fair that some of us pay for the use of the soft play area whilst the majority of parents show no regard for the safety of other children and do it free of charge? The prices you charge in the café should cover the cost of a member of staff to 'police' the use of the soft play area - or an alternative entrance method used. My comments, I know, won't make any difference. Most complaints have been about the café and nothing has changed.
