Life changing experience, that has helped me with medicine

The medical experience trip in Mongolia has been the best experiences I have ever had. Being with like minded students, who all share similar ambitions, that are from all around the world was one of, if not the most special aspect of the trip. Touring around Ulaanbator (the capital) at night, in an ambulance, and spending days in busy hospitals were unforgettable experiences, but then coming back to the hotel and spending time with all the other volunteers, learning about them and their lives, made the whole trip an experience that you could not put a price on. From a medics point of view, this didn't only give me vital work experience of medicine in a different country, but also gave me valuable experience of being away from home, being independent, and becoming a more well rounded person. I came back from Mongolia feeling delighted; all the things I had done and achieved, all the people I had met along the way, made this an experience I will carry around for life. I cannot wait to go again with projects abroad, to a new destination.
