All I know is that he did start a new company called home and garden furnitureuk ltd based in leicester. Altho he got someone else to front the business. And now this bssiness too seems to have dissapered.m Try going to the highcross shopping centre to see if he's selling their, that's his usuall pitch. Also I know he had ties to east midlands water as a sales man or he's bound to pop up at a trade show sometimes. Good luck with finding him and getting your money back.

Do you have any contact details for them? My parents lost quite a bit of money to this company and none of the phone numbers we have for them work, and all the addresses on the invoices are fake.

Brilliant Furniture

I had a brilliant experience with Lesley Jordan at the ideal home show last year. We bought a 10 seater dining table with chairs, a four seater kitchen table with chairs and a dresser, they gave us a huge discount saved about £600. They came when we asked them to 6 weeks after purchasing, they erected the tables etc and the customer service was excellent. Could not fault them.

Do Not Use This Company!

Like some of the others here I ordered furniture at the Ideal Home Exhibition in March. To cut a long story short I never got the furniture and the only contact I got from them was the day after I received a full refund via a credit card claim. They are game players. It's such a shame as the furniture on show looked lovely. I will never buy anything at the Ideal home exhibition again.

Same problem as all the other reviews. 4 promised dates, no answer from the telephone number. We did get a rude email back from our complaint. We ordered outside furniture including sun shade. The sun shade never arrived. Now they are closed down. The website does not work any more - neither the telephone number.

I Ordered A Wardrobe And Bed In April 2013 By Phon

I ordered a wardrobe and bed in April 2013 by phone from the company and was told that the wardrobe could be delivered part assembled and built by the delivery men. Also they would waive the delivery charge as I bought two items. In fact they took the extra £40 from my card, delivered the furniture on a different date from that agreed, failed to build it as I was out, upset my husband who suffers from dementia and left us with heavy part-assembled furniture.

No apologies were made (I was accused of getting the date wrong, which wouldn't be the case with my home situation), I was told to get someone in to assemble the wardrobe, and they would pay (they didn't of course). There were faults with the fixing screws and when informed they suggested that I must have used the wrong fixings (not true).

Also, originally I was told that the wood was ecologically sourced in the far east but manufactured in the UK. Again, slightly misleading to say the least. All the parts that were left with us were in sealed boxes labelled "made in China".

I have made attempts to settle matters amicably and have had help from a contact to the Ideal Home but have got nowhere. I thought that maybe they had gone bankrupt but it seems not - in which case I would advise anyone against doing any business with them.

I have emailed them again today but have little hope of any satisfaction and this experience has certainly left me feeling less than enthusiastic about using a small independent business by means of the internet only.

I have had similar problems but he now trades as Home and Garden Furniture Uk. Melton Rd, Leicester. Vile and abusive and thinks its funny big and clever to rip people off.

Hi

I'm so sorry to read your review.

I've had a similar experience via the ideal home show - I paid £1200 for a table and benches in March that they have NEVER delivered.

Recently I got a text from the managing director, saying that they had ceased trading. Their website has been pretty much taken down. I lost my job in the spring and am still unemployed. Lesley Jordan, have avoided my calls and sent me texts promising to get my money back to me on various dates, all lies of course.

Not really a surprise that they have gone bankrupt when they treat customers with so much contempt - and the managing director in particular is aggressive and rude. I feel such a fool for buying from him in the first place. Watch out for him as no doubt he will make a miraculous return under a different business name and find a new way to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers.

Lesley Jordan Furniture - Be Warned

Never ever ever use these people. Not only do they never answer your calls, emails, they take your money and then deliver damaged goods six months later (if you are lucky!). They take advantage of people buying at shows such as ideal home exhibition who don't research the company and buy on impulse. The owner is rude and abusive and they have the worst customer service ever.

I Bought Furniture From Lesley Jordan In The Highc

I bought furniture from Lesley Jordan in The Highcross. I was promised four delivery dates and on all four dates they never appeared and they eventually arrived on the fifth occasion but late. I wasn't informed they weren't going to deliver as planned, which makes one think if a delivery was ever planned. I used three days annual leave to be there for when these good were to arrive and feel totally let down by this company.

It took almost two months, several phone calls, almost all of which were not answered and when they were the language used towards me at times by the managing director was aggressive, threatening, colourful and insulting. I'm still waiting for a refund... I'm not hopeful.

The customer service shown by Lesley Jordan was dreadful. The contempt shown to customers is beyond belief. I would never advise that anybody would use this company and as you have to pay for the furniture before they deliver I would strongly advise to avoid this company. Companies, such as this, don't deserve to have any customers as their service and arrogance shown towards paying customers is beyond belief. They are only interested in taking money and not delivering the goods. From reading reviews of Lesley Jordan I can see that I am not alone in suffering poor customer service and hostile telephone conversations with it's managing director and owner.

The Customer Prevails

I am very happy to announce that I have prevailed in a dispute with Lesley Jordan Furniture. I have been awarded full settlement of my claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, by MBNA Credit Card.

I alleged that the MD of Lesley Jordan Furniture knowingly contravened the Sale of Goods Act 1979 by delivering me goods that fail the 'As Described' criterion, and MBNA Card upheld this claim.

So, if anyone out there thinks that Lesley Jordan Furniture has ripped them off, if you paid for some or all or your purchase using your credit card, do a search of the above Acts on the internet.

I also tried to get resolution of my dispute via Media 10, the company that runs Kevin McCloud's Grand Designs, but they, in my opinion, are more interested in selling stands to companies, even if they are disreputable, rather than looking out for the interests of Event customers.

Very well done, congrats. I'm trying likewise, but I paid with debit not credit card....

Appalling Service And Attitude

I ordered furniture through Lesley Jordan Furniture at the Ideal Home Show in London. It took around 3 months before i was given a delivery date and then they failed to show up on the specified date - they we re-arranged and they didn't turn up again. When i rang to find where my order was i spoke to the finance director who actually shouted at me! He told me that i had paid and now that he had my money he wasn't really bothered - at least he was honest i suppose! My furniture did eventually arrive - quality was patchy. Sideboard was good quality, table was ok, display cabinet not great - but to be honest i keep trying to contact them and there is never any answer - could they have even gone bust i wonder?? They promised me £50 as compensation for the awful service but predictably they have never paid up. The first time the director of a company has ever shouted at me - he appears to be cracking up under the strain! Would never, ever order from them again and i agree with others that the Ideal Home Show should ban them - it gives them a bad reputation to for allowing such a bunch of cowboys to take people's money at their event.

Don't hold your breath expecting much action out of Media 10, the company that runs Ideal Home Show and Grand Designs. They make serious amounts of revenue from selling stands to companies like Lesley Jordan Furniture. I have contacted Media 10. The say the right things, but seriously, they refer to Lesley Jordan Furniture as their Client. So good luck there. I wonder if [name removed] is aware that there are some very unhappy customers of the Grand Designs Show he associates his name with!
