Purchased a desk and associated small filing cabinet. Knew that the desk would not fit in the car so paid £25 for next day delivery. Need I say that it never arrived? Need I say that I spent over 20 minutes going through the impenetrable multi-selection Ikea phone system? And that when I finally got to some one that they lied as to when the unit would be delivered? Need I say repeat the 20-40 minute phone call scenarion ad infinitum?

And would you be surprised to know that we are STILL waiting for delivery and that Ikea continually promise delivery dates that do not happen?

In summary, don't get them to deliver. Hire a van and collect the goods yourself. Better still buy from somewhere elese, M&S, John LEwis, basically ANYWHERE but Ikea.
